Did as a 55 Monk (Intricate Defiant gear, 4950HP, 1430AC, 60AA) and rogue merc. Didn't use any external buffs, heals, damage shield, discs or Mend.

Soloed this today with my 54 monk.. mostly defiant gear. not twinked.. with a cleric merc. was a fairly long fight. just be sure to have water breathing

Since Lavastorm got revamped a while back, the loc on this guy has changed. He's still in the middle of the lava pit, but the coordinates now are +1789, +126, -42. Once he's been spawned by challenging the sprite, of course.

Still in the lava Pit in the middle of the zone for anyone that is curious due to update of LS.
Is also easier to see and is in the middle at the very bottom of the lake now instead of in the very middle of it. Just jump off the pennisula that sticks out into the lake and swim straight down and you're at him.

Killed im today with 66 Monk (36 AAs, pre-ele) and 60 Shammy (1 AA, pre-ele) as follows:
The trigger mob "a fire sprite" did not wander from druid to SE like mentioned in the other posts. It spawned above the first lava lake on the left side if you come from south. It walked north and turned at the left side of the hill where the wizard and shadow men stand on. However, better to track em - at least he is pretty slow ;)
Triggered the spawn, no zone message. Monk made way down to him just with loc info from this site 1063, 252, neg 129 (very bad sight in the lava). Monk was indifferent to Eejag. Shammy levitated above lava and only throwed 1950, 1950 1844, 1616, 1406 heals in. No slow, no nuke, nothing and after fight like 70% mana left.
Pretty easy fight. If i recall correct Eejag was hitting less the lower his HPs were. Prolly it is a position thing. The time he nearly did not hit me was where i stood (levitated) relatively near and a bit below him (some may guess the position );.

hey. the other day me and a 66 necro friend ( bout 160 AA's ) decided to kill him for my monk who was laying by in FD mood. for fun. well he had high MR and i couldnt malosi and or slow him so i juss healed necro's pet and he went down total fight took about 3 minutes tops. btw you might wana have fire resist cause it will less'n the dmg taken by the lava. ( im sure people known this already ) hope this helps..

This guy was easy as others have said. Killed him with a 65 war (pre-ele with around 50 AAs) and a 51 monk. Had a 65 dru on heals.
I actually failed the first time because I forgot to put on my druid's EB device (duh!). If I could have gotten 1 CH off on tank Eejag would have died easily.
I also reiterate that its really hard to see in the lava so getting to him is hard. Used /follow mostly to get group in line. With Circle of Season up and with my 58 bard playing his FR/CR song the lava damage was 10pt per tic. The second attempt I did away with the bard and still took only 10pts. I assume that's the minimum damage you can take in the lava.
Also at first the fire sprite was not up. So I took a break for about 30min and checked again. It was still not up. So I started clearing mobs in the NW section of zone and maybe 2min he spawned.

hey guys.. the fire spirit spawns in lavastorm.

Just took em out, had tracker help me find sprite.. challenged em and couple minutes later he summoned me down to him. Was easy fight, had 65 shammy bot healing me while his pet and I beat em down.. no problems at all just have levi and resist fire on you.

Did you check the spawn spot, or just did not get the shout?
If Eejag is already spawned he won't shout to the zone when you say the challenge to the sprite.

Took him out for a guildie tonight, visibility is VERY poor in there (you won't see him till you're on top of him).
Loc is +1063, +252, -129
(third number is how deep you need to go)
/yell to help people find him, and if you get summoned just swim Up.

I was asking for help in PoK to kill Eejag, and a 65 Mage send me a tell, tole me he could solo Eejag. So we went to Lavastorm, Eejag was up and the mage killed him in about a min. Very easy, just though I'd let someone know.

- He can also be solo'd by a 65 cleric with fairly decent gear. Hammer of Damnation, self healing, and max FT took me down to 75% mana by fight's end.
- If your fire resistance is high enough (and don't forget enduring breath), you take 10 damage/tick while in the lava itself. 120 or so should do the trick.
- Just like in water, levitation keeps you from sinking as you fight. If he summons, you still have to swim back up to him.
- If you're summoned, autofollow someone still in melee range with him. Look up and move forward to rejoin the fight quickly, but don't use the arrow keys to turn until after you're at the proper height.
- I'd guess he has about 25,000 hitpoints, but that isn't a parsed number.

Our group consisted of a 50 Bard, 51 Monk, 62 Shaman, and 59 Cleric.
No spells landed on Eejag, he resisted everything other than the Shaman unresistable Disease debuff.
123 FR was good enough for minimum fire damage of 10 per second. The number is likely lower, but 123 was our lowest.
The fight was long as we just had the bard, monk and shaman pet attacking. Cleric was OOM by fight's end and the shaman was making mana like a fiend.

for those of you that have killed eejag with ease about how many HP would you say he has? like 16k 24k, 32k? just wondering cause i have a 56 warrior with 12aa and my wizzy can hit him for up to 6k with crits and 3k without per cast so even if i get summoned with wizzy i might be able to do a huge amount of damage very quickly and only need a druid to heal my warrior ( very high HP/AC gear with 36% from ccom and 20% from eyepatch )
so even if i have low FR and take 20damage per tick and wear a fungi and have regen then i only have to worry about ejags actual damage. do you guys think that a druid can keep up heals ?

We killed Eejag with: 60 monk, 56 monk, 52 monk and 56 shammy...only one death and that was due to drowning, and Eejag was only 1 bub down at the time lol...somebody forgot EB and didnt notice drowning message :) so really there were only 3 of us that killed him! Shammy couldnt get anything to stick to him either so all he could do was heal, just get good FR and this fight is cake!
I saw this guy up and was kind of worried about taking him down with just my 65 cleric and 64 ranger so I got KEIed. I had my cleric levitating above the lava and just dipping in every now and then to heal. Eejag wasnt doing much damage at all, so i started nuking my mana away. He has pretty high magic resistance. overall a very easy fight. I'm sure a 60 tank and healer could take him with ease

Killed him tonight on Rodcet Nife Server. 8 people total. No cleric. 54 monk, 56 pally, 55 necro, 51 shaman, 54 wizard, 55 SK, 60 chanter (never even saw the fight lol) and 46 warrior. Easy drop. less than 3 mins total. Druid healed paly 4 times, did not use LoH. This mob is only difficult due to lava damage (16 at 80ish resist for druid and 11 at 118 for monk) and poor visibility. once you see him...just get to work. Only difficulty was when Eejag died the corpse sank a little and I lost dight of it...took a few seconds to locate, lol. Good luck to all you monks in search of epic. RotWF is definitely the hardest part so far...will let you know about Xenovorash and friends soon : )

Took down Eejag last night. Fairly easy if you're prepared and have the FR\regrowth. We had 1 guy on a 60 ranger, 1 playing 60 chanter, 60 rogue, 54 cleric, and another guy running 54 druid and 54 monk.
Whole group buffed up and swam into lava. Casters stayed at bottom below Eejag, melee's swimming up with him. FR of 100-110 gets you about 15 damage per lava hit. FR of 130-145 was 10 damage per hit.
The chanter tashed and tried to slow 4 times but every attempt failed. We would've been just fine without him. Useless, bigheaded bum. :P
It wasn't a big issue though since Eejag really didn't put out too much damage. The lava was probably more of a hassle.
Eejag fell in about 2 mins. Chanter had 80% mana, cleric & druid 30%. No nukes, just healing and melee. If you can get two 60 melee's in the group and good buffs\FR, you'll have no trouble. Not sure about anything below that. :P
However, definitely worth it to keep healers IN the lava. Melees swimming out to get healed would just waste their damage output, extending the fight and the lava damage to everyone. 54 Cleric had no problem at all sitting in the lava with only 105FR.

i was in lava storm to lvl my little twink war. monk comes across and said to me if i see a fire sprite i should send him a tell. so this are place holder for that Eejag. but i think monk must kill fire sprite to get Eejag to spawn. or monk give me wrong information ? :) u find always fire sprite near najena entrance. kill yesterday arround 20 of this fire sprites whole day.

you do not kill the fire sprite to summon eejag, you say to the fire sprite: "I challenge eejag".... the sprite dissapears and eejag screams accross the zone. He is in a fixed position in the center of the lava, and he summons. fighting him was annoyin because you are constantly sinkin down into the lava and he is floating in the middle so you have to keep swimming up, plus its pretty hard to find him because visibility is low. I was takin bout 11 damage in the lava... it damages you like 4 times a tic or so. Get yourself levitated, and you won't sink while swimming. Plus, levitation lets you swim up and float over the lava whenever desired.
