Killed him tons of times, have never seen the rod. Drops the essences maybe 1 in 5 times for us.
Has anyone else noticed it does seem to be a static spawn or was it just my luck I've see it near upper east wall?

Amiable to a HFL druid. Maybe a druid-animal thing?

Animals in expansions now are amiable to Beastlord, Druids and Rangers, few exceptiong like scaled wolves in FoS and infected or diseased animals. Rest are amialbe.

I really doubt he drops the "Warped Eternal Luminessence"
Are you sure it wasn't the "Warped Seminal Luminessence?" Eternal is for the tier 5 gear - aka Bloodfields or maybe even Discord drops.

This NPC can be snared, starts summoning at 98% life
Summons, hits for at least 4708 on silk.
