WikiEscorts are small, which means thet don't have room for extensive engineering or science facilities. But their weaponry means that the crew is seldom threatened, and their speed and maneuverability makes them hard to hit. Escorts have extra Tactical Bridge Officer stations and console modification slots.
Escorts are the only Starfleet vessel that can carry cannons.

- Escort - Saber, Rapier, and Ushaan. (Minimum Rank: Lieutenant Commander)
- Heavy Escort - Akira, Oslo, and Zephyr (Minimum Rank: Commander)
- Tactical Escort - Defiant, Vigilant, and Gallant (Minimum Rank: Captain)
- Advanced Escort - Prometheus Pheonix, and Cerberus (Minimum Rank: Admiral)
- Fleet Escort - Hermes, Gryphon, and Paladin (Minimum Rank: Admiral)
