Warm up the day with some action, story and adventure! The first six videos we have today include Firefall, King of Wushu, Life is Strange, This War of Mine and Grand Theft Auto Online.
Firefall players, get ready for the Nightmare Before Wintertide! The new Chosen Offensive live gameplay event is coming this Sunday, December 7th and runs from 11am through 2pm PT. Defend against massive assaults from elite Chosen bosses controlled by members of the Red 5 Studios development team.
Red 5 Studios has announced that Firefall Update 1.2: Together Toward Victory is now available. The update adds new content such as the game's first 5-man instance and even more open-world encounters.
When we looked at Firefall only six weeks ago, we actually had a really good time! Red 5 Studios is looking to keep the game fresh with its first major patch: Update 1.1 - Elemental Destruction.
The update focuses on added elemental effects to weapons and improved encounters (see notes).
Earlier Red 5 Studios re-introduced its FireFall Referral Program, allowing you to bring your closest friends to Copacabana and earn rewards as you pave your way through legions of "Chosen" and other enemies that await you on the island. While the ability to invite your friends to the game has been in for a while, this new system allows you to earn cosmetic rewards and some extra real money currency for doing so.
Firefall is a surprising, enigmatic game. It doesn't feel like a blockbuster game, but it's incredibly addictive in all the right ways. The logical part of my brain wonders "Is this game actually good?", while the rest is just having fun and shouting "AWESOME!"
People have called Firefall the "Borderlands MMO." That's a good place to start: an FPS MMO with satisfying RPG elements. The games themselves share few similarities, and Red 5 Studios went further with Firefall than you might expect.
Considering it's free-to-play, it's definitely worth the download to try it out – and if you're like me, it'll stick around for months to come. To find out why, let's look a little closer.
Years in the making, you can drop into the world of Firefall today! The action-packed MMO shooter is available now on the official site and Steam. Proud CEO of Red 5 Studios James Macauley had this to say:
"We designed Firefall to be our dream game, and now the team at Red 5 Studios is humbled and thrilled to see this dream become a reality with the launch of Firefall today."
Firefall will be releasing on July 29th, and ZAM's Lindsay Ferguson jumped into the game this week to check it out. Find out the details about the game and Lindsay's thoughts in her video preview!
This morning Red 5 Studios announced that its F2P MMO, Firefall, will release on July 29, 2014. The game will be available for PC download via Steam or the Firefall website.
