Normally, I would say cookies over biscuits. However, what Americans call "biscuits" is NOT what the Brits serve with tea. Those little things are really good!

Biscuits it is!

Why have tea when you can have coffee ?

Why have biscuits when you can have biscotti ?

Clearly, you people are out of whack !

I am with Dalliance on this one...coffee is the key to all things great. Just went for my afternoon trek for another. As for biscuits vs. cookies, I have long been a fan of the Oreo.

And Kao...what the hell is Skorp?

The PM has to be stong (stewed) tea and bikkies - and yeah oreos will do at a pinch, bit like the custard creams for dunking - creamy bit in the middle stays cold while the outside is all soft and warm and tasty, hmmmmmm.




Bahh, Kao, you know as well as i do its for night time with brandy and whipped cream... de-double lish.

Coffee and an oatmeal granola bar - a yoghurt one if I'm feeling different. Occasionally on a really cold day half hot-chocolate and half coffee instead of just coffee.

Oops, Skorpa. Skorpa is this:

Tim's (Kao) Skorpa Recipie

2 cups sugar
1 cup buttermilk
4 cups flour
1 cup margarine
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons almond extract
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoons salt

Cream sugar and margarine, add eggs and buttermilk. Stir in dry ingredients and flavoring. Bake in 14"x16" pan at 350°f. Let cool a little before slicing into 8"x 1/2" pieces, then dip each piece into sugar and cinnamon. Lay on cookie sheet and brown 250°f oven one hour.

For variations, you can add in some sliced almond pieces on top.

I strongly suggest that you do not try to double this recipie, otherwise the drying time quadruples, and you will likely burn it.

These Kao cookies?

4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 cups butter, softened
1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar (Dark brown if you want extra flavor)
1/2 cup white sugar
2 (3.4 ounce) packages instant vanilla pudding mix
4 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
4 cups semisweet Ghiradeli chocolate chips
2 cups Macadamea Nuts

Directions
1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Sift together the flour and baking soda, set aside.
2 In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar. Beat in the instant pudding mix until blended. Stir in the eggs and vanilla. Blend in the flour mixture. Finally, stir in the chocolate chips and nuts. Drop cookies by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
3 Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven. Edges should be golden brown.


I dunno if they go good in cocoa. never tried. Must do that.

its a shame in america you dont get the same quality of tea regularily available to us here in England then again good coffee is hard to find here!!

biscuits however are plentiful...

coffee and snickers bars... it's what my blood is made out of. And not the foo-foo Starbucks coffee either, I'm talking about that good old thick black sludge that can only be produced from a coffee pot that hasn't been cleaned the past few decades. Now that's flavor!

Hm. They have 7-11's as far as Richmond, VA.... Wonder where the cutoff is? I thought 7-11's were universal!

no no, the fudge striped cookies you can buy at walmart for 0.88 a package, those are the best cookies under the sun

Oh, and What on God's Multi-Colored Earth are "digestives"? I've heard the term "digestive buscuits" or something like that, but to me it evokes images of eating giant Alka-Seltzer tablets.
