As always, trying to go to any official Square Enix site and accomplishing anything for any reason baffles the hell out of me. Can anyone help me understand that message? Is it because I haven't logged in for a long time and haven't played since before people had to pay to play version 1.0?

That appears to be correct. It used to generate an error message telling you that your service account was invalid/deactivated if your account was inactive prior to the legacy campaign. Likely they are preparing to launch Lodestone 2.0, so you might see many different flavors of error texts in the days to come.
So the only new posts showing up there are from legacy players, even though nobody can play right now?

I'm legacy and i'm experiencing this precise error.
The new loadestone has outdated characters. It did update from this weekend.

the issue is not about the new Lodestone, but the1.0 one , and as i can see there is ppl who posted message today i'm gessing that i'm denied access cause i wasn't playing the last months of the legacy campaign. Still since nobody has played for months it feels a bit odd

I have been getting this error for well over a year. I reached level 50 (and have been level 50 for several months) so it can't be related to my level. I contacted them directly numerous times, and at no point was anyone willing or able to assist me with this.
