Feature request: filter for "Hotzone" in bestiary searchFollow

Hi there,

I hope this is the right place to post this.

I have a feature request:

I would like to be able to search mobs by level range (possible today), filter by "Hotzone only", and order/group by zone (possible today).

Lets say I have a toon or group that is lvl 72, I would like to be able to find mobs that are 73-76, and in a hotzone.

Current search for mobs in that range, gives about 1900 mobs. This is a useless result, unfortunately. However, if it filtereded by Hotzone as well, I would now have a very shot list of mobs and their zone.

Since you have some sort of registration of which zones are hotzone, perhaps it is not too hard to implement?

I would suggest a "Hotzones only"-checkbox for the user interface.

Thanks in advance,

IblisTheMage

I don't get it. Go see the quest-giver and he offers you hot zone quests by level. You can rest assured every mob in each zone is appropriate for that level.

I find it annoying that he won't give quests much above the level of the toon he's talking to. When I PL a toon sometimes I like to go UP a bit higher since I'll be backing the low level with a 115.

That's a pretty easy addition. I'll put it on my TODO list.

Thanks for the suggestion!

Well, I play with a full group of RL friends (lockdown effect), and I need to create some variation, adjust levels I search for slightly, etc, to keep it fresh. There are a lot of different hotzones that can have mobs of a given level, and having more options also allows us to vary the experience. The illusion of the game being less linear :-). Lets say we are all 5 playing, with a boxed bezerker, then I want to find options that are harder, perhaps indoor...

Nice ideas. always good to encourage those below the level cap to stick it out, group and have fun!

I don't understand the need for this option.

As long as you know the list of the hotzones (knowable, it's in the database/zone list), and you know which zones are for your level range (pretty easy to find out), why do you need a list of the mobs? Just go to an appropriate hot zone, and the mobs will be in that level range.

In fact, the zone level chart (again, under database/zone in the menu at the top of this page) does mark which ones are hot zones. And, by default, shows what levels those zones are for.
