I read the blurb on ToV the other day and it mentioned Great Divide and the city being closed and Velketors being besieged. All very interesting for those at the right level.

My question is, does this affect those of us at lower level with quests there.
For example I am working my way through Aiden Silverwing's heirlooms and just got the shoulder drop in DSP.
He now tells me the shard (and the next item) is in Velketor's labyrinth.

Can I still go there or has it been subverted into a 115 zone where I die at zone in?

These kinds of reasonable questions demonstrate that the game company doesn't really do a good job in making clear these kinds of situations. Even the in-game atlas doesn't distinguish these "dual zones" except by the recommended level info. They should flag them as connected to a specific xpac, or add something to the name so players are informed about the differences.

I marvel at any person who STARTS fresh in this game, especially if they don't have experienced friends who play to guild them. This is a throwback to the early game, where "You're in our world now" was the watchword and if you couldn't figure it out, too bad, you'll die and that will teach you a valuable lesson!
