SSD is Solid State Drive and Hard Disk Drive for those might not know. Getting back to the question any benefits such as faster game and zone loading times, less lag when boxing or switching between windows faster. Playing on 17.3 inch laptop, I7, 16 gigs of ram and gigabyte internet.

I'd love to think and say yes but I haven't seen it. I've moved my EQ installation between an SSD to a conventional HDD more than once, even on the same computer, and I don't think I've noticed a difference. Makes me wonder why too since I should. But maybe is a game so old in design that it can't take advantage of such hardware speed improvements.
Heck, even when I moved to gig-speed FIOS honestly I can't say I've noticed a big improvement!

My roommate has a demonstrably better, faster computer than I do. She runs EQ on an HDD. I run EQ on an SSD.
My load times and zone times are much faster (generally 30-50% faster).
