This type of behavior is absolutely inappropriate and you have every reason to petition comply to a strict set of regulations. Swearing and sexual harassment violates the End User License Agreement and continual violations can result in the person being banned. (To understand the rating requirements see http://www.esrb.org).
As a mature gay male I have held exception to the recent fad of using the term gay or *** to mean anything that you don't like. Normally I let the person at the other end of the conversation know I don't appreciate the tone of the discussion, and that I've personally have taken offense to what was said. I'm pleased to say in most instances the person either drops the subject immediately, and in one case the older brother reprimanded the younger the GM. Everquest is a T rated ESRB game, and in order to keep this rating SOE must brother (both whom I was grouped with). In rare instances I had to send a petition or a feedback to SOE.
If you let the person know that you are not amused and requested that they stop (and the person refuses to do so), you can always send a /petition or a /feedback command if no GMs are online. You can check what GMs are online by clicking that action window and on the last tab there is a button called GM List. If no one is online you can send a /petition which goes into a queue for the GMs to answer. Better yet is to send a /feedback, since all requests are logged by SOE (unlike /petition) and this goes as a documented issue. If you have EQ logging or journaling enabled you can cut and paste the text as proof of what exactly was said.
GMs as a whole don't like to play babysitter, but SOE does have the obligation to uphold its own EULA. If SOE continues to ignore violations you can always take the issue a step further and report them to the ESRB. Typically an audit is performed in order to maintain their ratings (after so many negative feedbacks).

You do not need the names of GM's.
Just type
/report xxxx (name of offender)
This sends a log of teh last 20 lines from that person on your screen, the GM that explained it to me siad i Should scroll up if nessecary as it does actual on screen not last 20 total.

Im just curious, is training someone in game *on purpose* an EULA violation? Or is that one of those things, like camp stealing, where its a PC "rule" but not in the EULA as a TOS violation. Reason I ask, if I had a friend power lvling my new war alt, my friend is a 53shammy, and was buffing and keeping me healed. We were in PC and some guy trained us 3 times (bringing 20+ mobs each time). I finally sent a tell saying WTF. The guy resonded by saying he doent believe in power lvling and if by friend and I stayed there he would train us everytime. Itwas about 430 in the am and wasnt in the mood to get into some long drawn out battle, so worte his name down and loged. So, can you /petition a GM for something like that?
I would have petitioned that, they had no right to train you because they didn't believe in PLing. Not sure if its really illegal by EULA or not but its worth a shot.
I had the same thing happen to be a while back in PC when I was PLing my Pally, however I ended up killing all of the mobs with ease and just thanked them for their generiousity for helping me pull. They tried again, but with the same result and just stormed off mad...oh well it made my day, hehe. =)

I'm not sure if training is something that is against EULA, but I have seen GM's intervene in cases of blatant harassment. In my case, a very high level character was KS'ing and verbally abusing a group of low level characters.
I would definitely use the /report and /petition options, but don't attempt to contact the GMs directly. I'm reasonably certain that they are required to go through the queue or /reports and /petitions, and will rarely, if ever, be able to respond directly to /tells.
Oh yes, and don't forget that wonderful /ignore charactername in the case of purely verbal harassment =)

Harassment based on race, sex, creed, color, nationality, or sexual background is both against the EULA and the laws of the United States where the game is based, and as such is actionable.

Camping of spawns is not recognized, but the first person to engage a monster, according to this policy, is the one that has the right to attack it to completion. Anybody who attacks after that with the purpose of taking the kill can be reported and will recieve a warning. Enough such warnings will result in their being banned. If this happens to you again, report them and petition immediately. I would suggest attempting conversation with the offender first, and if rebutted, report.

Please make sure that if you encounter this peep again and he repeats this same offensive behavior that you immediately report him and ask anyone who was with you to do the same. Just because HE doesn't care for the practice of PL, that does not give him the right to push that on anyone else! We all have to pay our monthly dues to play the game and If we are playing with a good spirit and intend to have fun and make some new online friends, cool! But we can't expect others to hold standards that are our own personnal beliefs! In other words, What an *** HOLE!
