Got faction hits with the same you would get if you killed a guard.
He didnt respond to any of my hails allthough I am KOS to him. Using sneak I was able to determine that he is a monk trainer.....but why would he drop something??

I need the lion paw for the final warrior quest, I have been told that puma's drop it and that male lions drop it but I have also been told they dont. Can someone please confirm if one or the other drops it and if not plz tell me who drops it?

Okay i was wandering around the EC tunnel the other day on my lvl 6 monk and i saw an Air elemental. I thought those were only in Steamfont. it was red to me. I had never seen one of thses before and i asked around and people said theý've always been there. But it's not in the bestiary. Did they add it in the May 8th patch? Also, the go invis and SNEAK up on you *shivers* I wanna take my chanter there and kick it's **** lol. Please let me know what's up.

Air Elementals have been in E Commons for a while. They sometimes show up over by the ruins. Total bastards, in my opinion, since they turn invisible (bitter experiences. >:( )

Im a lv 6 paladin on the tribunal server and i have been questing the new low lv pally armor quest. Now for the greaves I am required to find a coyote pelt. I have no clue where to find that at. I have killed tons of coyotes in Nro with my druid but have had no luck. If anyone know where i can find a coyote pelt plz post up a message or send a tell to Talvalia (26 druid) or Korlock (6 paladin). Thanks
There are also coyotes in Steamfont but aside from being on another continent they might not drop the exect ones you need.
However I've kill little less than 50 coyotes and found about 3 cyot pelts

The Coyote Skins do drop off the Coyotes in North Ro; however, it is a rare drop. I don't remember how many I had to kill, but I was about to give up and decided to kill just one more, and there it was. Have patience; it will drop.

there was two new guard in the Plagued Hutsand a monk. the guard's name is "Guard Deisnak" and "Guard Terdaen". And The Monk's name is "Initiate Firansad" they all under 12. i think they are around 10 to 11. they conned Blue to my lvl 12 Monk

The intiate also drops a nodrop blessed headpiece. I can only assume that it's part of a quest, but which one I don't know. He was to squishy to tell me by the time I got done with him

I am a lev 14 ranger and was wodering if i should stay in the east and west commons or go to the oais of marr for xp What do u think i should do???
Oasis of Marr! I jumped 2 levels (18,19) there with the orc groups. Not to mention the plat earning loot. You have to watch your back for skellies and madmen that can cast, not to mention Bluto the sand giant (as I spitefully call him) that walks through the main orc infested areas but with a full group weve only lost 2 people over 5 hours (realtime). It's pretty easy to end up in a well balanced group to take out orcs by the hundreds and stay there easily until lvl20.
Just sent out a shout or tell or go /lfg and someone will pick you up eventually. As a ranger though you would probably be picked as a puller unless you get in a group with a tank. Stock up on food and water though cause you'll be there long enough that you'll be low before you know it.

What the HELL is goin on here? No Creatures in this zone are you nuts? Someone needs to get thier head out of there *** and on the ball here. I need to know about a creature so I'll go to everlore.com or eqcastersrealm.com to get it. They seem to have what I need all the time. I use alla. cuase I heard it was great info but you show me nothing.
You must have caught the site when it was being worked on or something. There's a ton listed here. Hope you didn't give up based on a solitary experience.

I was walking along the path from freeport and i saw this NPC in front of the hut. His name was
!theground and i got really confused. Well, anyways, I conned him and he was green , which i was all excited about since the only other green NPC to me is the soulbinder. I asked around about this guy and people said he only has one HP, so me and another guy decided to attack him. But i didnt see another guy around. So when i went up to attack him.....He Just Disappeared! The other guy said he had killed him and the NPC said his comrades will avenge his death, but no faction hits. And he didnt drop any loot. WTF is this guy! Well, im gonna get on now and see if i can find him again cya.

I encountered !theground on 2 different servers today. If you do anything but con, he dissapears and can be found in the tunnel on the way to North Ro. He only takes 1 hit to kill and says he will be avenged. So far no revenge from anybody. He drops nothing so far.

he reason this guy,girl Pops when attacked is the (!) in front of its name. for any newbies out there if u see this in front of an NPCs name it means the Quest is not working
I saw this thing yesterday, kicked it, it went down in one shot. Doesn't have any lot, faction or anything. When I hailed it, it did nothing, when I taunted it, or begged from it, it attacked me. I also saw another mob in ek with just the name (!) But I didn't attack them, thinking they'er bugs or something.

yea she's annoying.she hit my lvl 5 de for alot after i got smart and ran through a druid ring(not sure wtf she was doin there)but now with my lvl 4 human i found her dead and decided to loot her for pay back(no-one said it had to be good payback)it took her a couple of hits to kill me though (maybe 2 or 3)and i got bored so i got killed in north freeport.thats when i started my human.we suck but we lvl fast.

A few times when i was still like, lvl 5 or 6,id be in ec and somtimes ill get the bejesus kicked out of me by like a black bear or willow wisp,or whatever.And JUST before i die(when im already unconcious)somthing called "pain and suffering" strikes me for melee damage(somtimes it misses)but ive never seen it before.WHAT IS THIS THING?
When you die it's just something that's put in there to show that if you don't get a heal or something then you will die. Once you get this message you will not regain consciousness w/o a heal.

Actually, pain and suffering IS a mob that hits incredibly fast. They used to let u kill it, but i believe that's been nerfed = P

it's damage over time knowen as poison and/or disease. a spell that makes you loose life over time faster than you can gain it. if you have a healing spell or cures, you should use it if you have this poison and/or disease as it WILL go away in time. good luck hunting!

There are a few things i have seen that were not in the bestiary--has anyone heard of Bzz Da Bomb or Bzz Da Charmer? i was outside the tunnel and they both showed up. they look like bixies and are apparently pretty powerful because they cast and there were about 50 people of various levels trying to waste them; it took about 10 mins. Just wondering what the hell they are....

just checkin to make sure u know exp is the SAME FOR EVERY ANIMAL it is always based on level though dungeon mobs give slightly higher exp and sometimes killin specific stuff common to those zones like killing orcs in crushbone

hello all i am hear to let u all know megunna the lv 32 dwarf warrior on the innuruk server can not be trusted. he has stolen nearly all theplat i have and had spent 2 weeks in ec getting it. i am just hear to warn not complain, i am not sad i lost plat just that someone would steal from someone on a silly game. but i guess that shows his true character.

What do teh guards have to con to you for them to allow you into the city? Right now im dubious...any ideas?

The guards have to con dubious or better, and u can enter the city... be aware that not everyone in the city will be dubious, for instance the wizard/mage/ench faction (academy of science, i think) will kill you, and north freeport guards are paladins (knights of truth) they may also hate you unless you build faction. consider as you go.. until u know

I have worked a long time to try to raise faction with the merchants in the inns, with a small degree of success, but it's getting a little upsetting.
I (a DE SHD) started dubious to all the merchants in the inns, and the guards (freeport melitia)..and the residents (commons residents) and merchants in freeport (coalition of tradefolk). KOS to the Knights of truth and priests of marr..blah,blah..so i set the stage..
So i kill enough orcs and hand in enough belts to be amiable to the melitia and coalition of tradefolk ill... this was the merchants in the inns in the middle only, the two on either end were still dubious. So i keep killing orcs.. until one day i get the message that my faction with deathfist orcs could not possibly go any lower. I check all around then, and even the knights of truth are amiable to me but none of the merchants in fp will sell, and the ones in the inns are still dubious too! So i start running some letter quests, and gaining faction withthe militia and coalition of tradefolk.
Now: i am amiable to knights of truth, amiable to merchants of freeport (coalition of tradefolk) , amiable to coalition of tradefolk illegal, kindly to melitia..... and the two merchants on either side of the inns in EC, WC and NRO wont sell to me still. (dubious) So.. what faction are they? and if the easiest answer is something like beta neutral...lets just say they didn't start out nuetral. (BTW the gypsies are like this too in OOM and NK, but there is one in OOM that does sell to me ( the shamen spell girl, she's on beta neutral)
So it all comes down to: has anybody ever noticed that they have been able to change facton with these characters? and if so by doing what?

I finally figured it out. Being a dark elf, I started out dubious to almost all of the merchants in EC. After killing a couple hundred orcs, I became amiable to the merchants in the middle of the inns, but the left and right side merchants would con dubious still. Thousands of orcs later, no change. Finally I went to work on faction in Qeynos and started killing Blackburrow Gnolls. Once I got to amiable with the merchants and guards there I stopped. Later I came across the merchants in EC and lo and behold I was amiable to all of them. Therefore I conclude, the outside merchants are either on Qeynos Merhcants faction or share faction between Commons Residents and Qeynos Merchants. Hooray! Now you know you can kill blackburrow gnolls to raise faction with these guys.

Your conclusion is pretty much correct. For some unknown reason, the other merchants in the inns are on Merchants of Qeynos faction. Which basically means that there are more NPCs in the Commonlands on Merchants of Qeynos faction than there are on Commonlands Residents, which makes next to no sense to me.
Just a FYI, every NPC that has faction is on a single primary faction. Your faction standing with a single NPC is never a combination of more than one faction, only their primary one. Killing that NPC may lower your faction standing with other factions, but only one faction is the primary one. That faction is what the faction part of /con messages (scowls, threateningly, etc.) is based on.

I fully understand your plight. Am a DEF SK as well and have done pretty much the same as you. Haven't gotten to point where faction is low as possible with orcs yet though. Surely someone out there knows a way to gain faction with the merchants (they are supposed to be commons residents)
