Duo'd by 2

Just finished this with a duo of 48 SK and 48 Warden. Gained a level before we got to Fyst, so at the end we were both 49 but we were a great combo and seemed to compliment each others abilities very well. It was a great time.. and decent treasure drops for once.

We went in through the sewers and took out the Champion first.. that was an epic batle and we thought at one point that we weren't going to make it but I managed to put myself in a corner so that the knockback had no effect and we managed to pull off a victory.

The rest of the named were no problem at all.

DFC revamp

Duo'ed with a 54 SK and 54 warden, all grey of course so I could wander at will.

DFC is very different now. There are no named Mob's on the ramparts anymore, just archers, sentinels and siege operators. All doors are open, except the Iron Maiden, need to kill the torturer to trigger it still.

There is still the cook in the courtyard but no more smith or butcher. All items and NPC's for quests are still in the same spots so just make sure you kill all the named ones above except the Arena Champion(40 triple up), go to the arena entrance enter.

Fyst will blah blah blah, then have one of your group go across to the death mask and ring the gong there. Get in the corner by the door so when he knocks you back you don't hit the wall spikes (big ouchies, can be over 1k a pop)The champion will pop in a few seconds so your sacrifice, uh, hero has time to scurry into that corner. Then just wail the tar outta him.

After he dies Fyst(42 triple up) scampers to his throne up top. Clear everything around him, try to pull the 4 bloodguards around him, he calls for help, and the adds hurt. I pulled him into the stairway so his knock back didn't push me over the wall. Kill him and get your updates and treasure.

Hopes this helps :)
How do you kill Alchemist Yallessul?

Anyone manage to solo Alchemist Yallessul? When I try to kill him, he breaks the encounter and goes back to full HP and power. As a beserker, I have access to a small number of stun type attacks, but not enough to keep this NPC from casting.

Prince Valtoris has a knockback with a moderate amount of damage. High Priest Kuzbak is now a solo NPC - however the two priests of Zek in the same area seem to be casting healing spells, so I'd recommend killing them first. Arena Champion Kraz'k is supposedly heroic ^^^ - but he has so many HP and such a devastating knockback, I'd say he is as hard as the pre-upgrade Emperor Fyst - i.e. he's more like an epic encounter. I only *just* managed to kill him at level 63.

After all this effort, I can't kill the Alchemist. Deathfist still has the 18 hour lockout after killing any named NPC.

I would have to say no. He is charming you, losing agro and breaking the encounter and as soon as you engage again he charms you and so on, so you cannot keep agro. A necro maybe, but he will charm eother you or your pet and either you will be fighting your pet or it will be fighting you (errrr, that does not sound nearly as coherent as in my head...) lots of pain in any case. I duo'ed him at 54 as an SK and a 54 warden, he charmed me (the SK) and the warden had to kill the Mob and heal himself. Did the job.
