Can anyone confirm if a pet user loses their pet upon banishment?

My logic says the pet would remain if you do not go through the LOADING... screen. Though, I dunno and haven't found knowledge otherwise.

a mage cause of coth (call of the hero) sommons a pcor npc also coth can fail and then add like 20 or somtin like that
