every 3-4 times i use this, for the last couple hours, ive gotten 4-7 tiger claw skill points
anyone know why?

I used to get a little extra damage to this discipline from my gear, but now that I hit level 67 I stopped getting any extra damage. I'm not talking about the non-melee hit that follows. It only does the base 800 damage now. Any reason for this?

Yeah this is couple years late, but for anyone still curious, it's because that extra damage you were seeing was caused by the Spell Damage mod2. Spell Damage only affects damage done by spells (in this case spell damage from a disc) within 5 levels of you. Being a 61 disc, the moment you went from 66 to 67 it fell out of range for spell damage to modify it.

I've noticed on my 69 monk, I sometimes do extra damage. Right now I'm fighting trash mobs in Grieg's and saw Ikse hit a soldier of madness for 800 points... and then A soldier of madness was hit by non-melee for 70 points... I thought that was kind of neat, no other players in the zone, and I don't proc damage skills, no DS, so it had to be from my LC.
Love this disc. Combat Fury AAs will give it a chance to crit (1600).

I am a 67 level monk and was not sure if i should get this or not. Well, I got it and guess what I found? It can be used while thunderkick is on. Actually, my first use of leopard claw did 1600 dmg !!! well, that could make a difference. the 1600 doesnt come form thunderkick though, it was some AA which doubles proc damage, but I have seen the 1600 quiet regularly since. I am looking forward to getting to 69 and seeing the same for dragon fang = 2400dmg.

There is a 1200 point one at lvl 69, if you check it out here: Dragon Fang. That is gotten from DoN questing, see the quest here.
It is on the same timer as your lulls (phantom line), and the End cost makes it relatively efficient. to use.
at level 68, with no endurance regen AAs, I regen:
20 while fighting
25 while running
30 while standing/sitting still
So if you use this once a minute, you'll be regenning all the endurance between each use. Faster uses can be done (up to 2 per min, obviously), but you won't keep up.
One thing you can do, if you need to burn a boss mob down is do this initially, click speed focus (duration 30sec) then when that drops, click this again.
I will also note that the Ingenuity AA's allow you to get critical nukes off this thing. they're not very common, but they hit for 1328, and it's fun to see other classes wonder how the monk did a critical nuke for that much.
I am planning on experimenting to see if Improved Damage items will up the amount this hits for... I'll keep you posted.

ok this is the scope i have a 65 monk and just bought this from the good side DON's. it cost 120 radient crystals. the spell does 800 non-mele dmg, you can reuse it every 30 sec. it uses 215 endurance everytime you hit the button, just like our phantom tome line. i dont know about how much aggro it will create, i havent used it in a group yet. it does not interfer with any other tomes we get. so you can use this and then use innerflame then earth disipline if you like. i hear there is a better one down the line if you progress further in the DON mission. but will require a raid force. i dont know what that one is. but i cant wait to get it. enjoy this if you get it. i think i will.
this a DoN one? or what anyone know would appreciate it :)
