I noticed you can research the level 69 enchanter spell from the progression line was wondering if they changed this one also.

Yes the aa theft of life does affect this orb when cast on someone else, I have recently done exceptional heal on group members with soul orb.

Just to say, for the last 2 patches, AAs do not affect the damage or heal of this spell. Damage was increased to 1750 or so however.
this spell and oul orb work like this
initial effectd is a DD spell secondary effects is an orb is summoned. the dd effect is affected by by Improved damage effects and Crit aas but the orb is a seperat item with the base effect of teh spell set as healing. the healing effect again is affected by healing aas.

Orb at the moment can heal for 2500hps (70 necro here 370aas)with the right aas/armour effects it is DoN and can only be given if you get the drop off Emoush works with DD5 also ect...Great spell

This orb along with the level 61 orb CAN be increased with teh necro aa of exceptional heals ( theft of life i think its called ) and yes it can double the heal just like it does for your life taps and just like it does for your pet heal too. just to help ya out on that. :) good luck all
anyone have any info on where to get this spell from? is it DoN? or runes? any help be great, on another note,would be nice to have a stack of these and soul orbs to help heal yourself or group members, just click 1 then the other, unless when you click one the other goes out to.
This spell is a reward for DoN progression. It looks to be the 2nd tier of rewards. The final task for that tier is a 24-per raid.
The following are rewarded upon completion:
-Two AAs
-Tenacity of the Dark Reign (250 hp/mana/end)
-Your 69th level spell/tome.

Will healing aa count tho, theft of Life line allows our heals to crit, even if its not a life tap, 64 pet heal has critted ofr me since i got that aa line, will that increase the heal from this?
if this spell is like soul orb(i'm sure it is) then it will heal for as much damage as it does for a base amount, meaning no Improved Damage V or crits included
