cast a few C3's

If you cast a few C3's in POK you will have plenty of pp to buy stacks of peridots. Also when peridots drop, they don't go to cleric automaticly now.

The guild lobby basicly took away 1/2 of the cleric's pp making job (rezzing), they rarely are paid for a rezz in GL since they are being asked to run 4 zones away and venture deep into a hostile zone. It also took away the need for necro and SK to summon a corpse so they don't make pp any more. The POP stones practicly made druid and wiz pp dry up except for a few zones, but prior to POP they made good pp as taxies.

So only the enc has not lost any pp many ability, and now even has C6 added to their bag of tricks. I would not complain about a peridot. Don't cast the spell if you think it is that expensive or make the recipeant give you one, like some clerics use to for V. Plus there are still some reagent conserve items out there to make a save that it will be used. The prices in the bazar have gone crazy, if you sell a muramite rune you don't need for 5K that is 416 peridots, and with a reagent conserve you probably would get 500-600 peridots, plus the ones that drop. That should keep you well supplied even if you didn't want to cast C3 in POK.

Runes vs. Cleric HP buff

You can't be serious. The obvious reason clerics can buff for free now is SOE wants everyone to have cleric buff and now clerics have no reason to be stingy. Chanters on the other hand still require something to make a rune buff, so SOE don't really care if anyone has a rune buff. Having said that, RUNE III is the best rune in our lineup. It uses a jasper so you never should run around without that as a minimum, jasper are so cheap you could kill a level 10 mob and get a stack of them. I rune noobies with that and anyone in group with me when I think about it.
The peridot using runes are best for the Game Face fights. Normal game use Rune III imo.

so funny I suspect the chanter is THE or close to the best plat making toon in the game & im not talking about C, & you quibble about 12p to save you needing a rez?
The chanter is maybe the best & most balanced toon in eq (imho)if any thing they are to powerful(yes i play i chanter)
Maybe im just lucky but so far i have never got agro from casting a rune spell, but i have saved a group from a wipe.
They give each class tools to use, learn to love the ones they give you & use them all in the right time & place ooohhhh why cant we have a heal,,why dont we get songs,,sheesh.
why did they drop it from clerics? cleric are lousy at making plat, & EVERYONE wants cleric buffs even people not grouped how often do you hear ---rune plse

Go into RSS and solo a mob with your chanter. Can't do it? Why not? I've known magicians to do it. Beastlords too. Charming has been nerfed to the point of uselessness in Omens zones, and your nukes are someone's idea of cruel joke. Don't tell me that Enchanters are too powerful.

We're the only class in a group that actually attacks untanked mobs in a group (using our mezz on adds), and with little or nothing in the way of resist modifiers on our mezzes. And as a silk wearing class, with laughable defenses, if our mezz is resisted, the results could be disastrous for us and the group. As a class with no snare, a weak pet, and weak nukes, we are the most group dependent of all classes.

This isn't to say that we're not useful to groups. We have the best haste spells in the game and the mana regen spells that are considered the most essential. It just seems strange to me that anyone would describe the most group dependent of all classes to be "too powerful."

spoken like a true chanter. Totally agree with ya Ueuil. The only, I repeat ONLY reason I use a chanter is cause nobody else does. They are an endagered spiecies now a days, and for good reason. It's like SOE has decided to pick on enchanters. My xp is slow as hell while 3 boxing war/ench/druid, but having a rare class does have it's advantages. The only way I could see a chanter being effective in CC is if they changed that aa mez to 4 minute recast. Otherwise your tank will have to have enough hp and ac to tank up to 3 mobs at a time while the chanter tashes each one before mez'n. Also there are some zones where you just can't rely on spawn order to prevent adds. Adds will come every single pull. Any chanter that decideds to free mez is not only risking death, they are risking the chance of wiping the entire group.

BTW, have you ever gone to PoK and tried to sell KEI/VoQ/Clairvoiance? People give you like 10 plat a piece if they give you anything at all. They figure the chanter must be rich cause he has KEI/VoQ/Clairvoiance. It's a total an complete waste of time. You're better off farming something in vxed.

why would they take away the clerics reagents but not Enchanters?
when a cleric buffs you you keep the hitpoints till the spell wears off and you can heal the hitpoints again and they no longer need a reagent.

Why would they not do the same with an enchanter spell that is only good for 1 maybe 2 hits and when it gets broken you have to recast it using up all your mana but on a conviction line spell you can repair the damage gained by the spell for 1/3 the cost to cast the spell, AND you get added armor class.

Sony just hates enchanters, always has they always nerf our spells to be usless and make 1/3 of our spells be for roll play effect ONLY! look at me i can use my precious mana to make me a frog with no effect what so ever, no water breathing or fast swim or save vs. poison NOPE just a stupid graphic but i still had to use a valuable item turn in to get it.

THANKS FOR NOTHING SONY ......@$#&

I was just wondering if this is stackable with the lvl 66 self buff rune, if so will nearly double my enchanters hps (appx 3300 with Virt) + the 3000 from the runes would make my chanter in the 6k hp range go enchanters

they could always make it a diamond reangent, or a ruby reagant.... i kinda prefer peridot over what would logically be the next choice =P it's cheaper.
