a worthless buff....I have more then enough in my line of buffs..but to make this one a have to buy ..and have to give 10k for rune..really lets us know just how much shammies are thought of..

Tested and confirmed, Shaman AC buffs do indeed stack with Po9, just like they do with all other druidic 'skin' line buffs.

Should stack with Symbol and not Po9 nor Temp, Virt, or Conver. Won't stack with these spells cause they alter AC and are of higher value. Shammy's never got the nice AC buffs like clerics and Droods. If you actually owned a shaman you should know this quit posting with theory's when your not even a shaman /rolf!

I think I've got spell stacking down, so I thought I'd mention this:
When EQ is checking to see if a spell stacks, it checks first for any specific stacking rules on existing spells and the new spell, then compares the spell effect slots of existing spells and new spells. It obeys stacking rules first, and then allows only the highest value for a given effect on a given slot. This is the theory. Here are some tests.
Example: You have Po9 cast on you. A cleric casts Virtue on you. Since Po9 has a stacking rule that blocks new spells with slot 2 effect Max HP less than 2618, and Virtue's slot 2 effect is increase Max HP by 1405, Po9 blocks Virtue.
Reversed: You have Virtue cast on you, and a druid casts Po9. Virtue blocks new spells with slot 3 being Max HP. Po9's Max HP slot is not 3, it's 2, same as Virtue. Po9's Max HP value, however, is less than Virtue's, so again, the spell is blocked.
Taking the theory to the end we have this:
You have Po9 cast on you and someone casts Ancestral Bulwark on you. The AC buff is slot 4, not slot 1, so is not affected by Po9's stacking rules. Slot 4 on Po9 is mana regen, not AC. Therefore, Po9 and Ancestral Bulwark should stack, which keeps in line with shamanic AC buffs stacking druidic HP/AC buffs at lower levels.
You have Virtue cast on you and someone casts Ancestral Bulwark on you. No stacking rules on either spell prevent the spells from stacking, but both provide AC as slot effect 4. Virtue's AC bonus is 72 versus 46 for Ancestral Bulwark. Therefore, Virtue should block or overwrite Ancestral Bulwark, which keeps in line with shamanic AC buffs being blocked/overwritten by cleric Temp line spells.
Feel free to test and lemme know what the results are.

wow another ac buff that doesnt stack with anything! and I get to pay thru the nose for a Muramite rune (lesser) to get it

I can only hope this is not another in a long line of AC buffs that won't stack (or are overidden) by cleric / druid AC/HP buffs. I suppose this can be used on your pet but now that pets can zone I've been getting mine buffed with virtue/conviction.
I'll test it out tonight and advise.
