Does any one know how much damage it absorbs? I am thinking 500. is that right?

Yeah, it's the recourse off Spirit of Lairn.
Kind of useful, since it gives your warder a free one-hit rune each time it procs. If you buff your pet up with Infusion, Dex, etc., they proc pretty often, so your pet becomes even more efficient an off-tank when you need to take a quick step away. Quite nice.

yes it is, my Monster Summoning V pet procs this.
