So....

Step 1 - Get Princess the number for a good shrink for the Shammy issues...

Step 2 - There *are* times when your mana is better spent healing someone who is doing some form of canni.

A shammy with a half refreshed mana pool AND some decent hp (from say... a 225 mana HoT from a friendly cleric) can *snare kite* an extra mob while the tank gets a handle on things. They can also malosi a mob down to a level that lets your belabored nukers land some solid hits. And well, they can turn around and heal your butt a bit in a pinch.

A necro who has sucked down his hp to make himself some mana can then drain a caster mob and gift the GROUP with mana. It's generally good to keep your necro alive. Same rule applies to snare kiting and necros. And wow the dps they can do can sometimes turn a fight completely ... but they don't do that dps if they die because their own mana-maker had them down to 30% and you sat on your medical **** and didn't at least HoT them.

Generally speaking, if your necro/shammy types have the downtime to canni/lich then YOU have the downtime to HoT them at least once and then med back up.

Step 3 - This is a focus effect, gotten off of an item. I am uncertain whether it takes a buff slot or not (most focus effects do not). I am fairly certain it will not STACK, but would rather only allow 5% haste on spells up to 65 instead of up to any lower level.

Step 4 - The only item listed as having this effect requires a raid to get (and that's if it drops), and also has a REQUIRED level of 65 to equip. So I dunno why they say this thing is a level 62 spell as no one at level 62 can equip the belt to pop off the focus effect :P

That makes sense. I remember Esit pouring hours into killing halflings so he could do this quest as an Inny worshipping Troll.

Bah I was thinking of the necro snare kiting. The shammy root/nukes. Though...there used to be some items out there that had clicky snare and I thought at least one was shammy usable.

And THIS is even later, but ...

Shaman can indeed snare if they are of the correct race and religion (cleric too, for that matter).
Methinks someone spoke before they investigated :)

Cheers!
Buff

This takes up a buff slot. It is also castable on others, which surprised me.
Shammys rule

if the fact that you don't feel like Clickig off A shammy buff annoys you so much. Mabie EQ is not the game for you.
BTW any class that can make a wizard as tough as an ogre Is AOK in my book

LMAO....what in the world did you try to say there?
What? Where?
# Sep 16 2004 at 11:57 PM Rating: Default
So . . . what I have gathered about this spell is that its not actually a cleric spell at all but just a clickie effect or a focus on a very nice belt that you can quest for?

Does anyone have some info on where/how to obtain this spell for a cleric?

I checked around on a few other sites and some of them dont even have this spell listed as one a cleric gets at level 62.

It is a BUFF

It is a BUFF. It is targetable. It stacks with cleric BUFFs Blessing of Reverence and Aura of Reverence. The BUFF takes up a buff slot. It is a focus effect BUFF that adds 5% spell haste to your existing spell haste (from cleric buffs and worn effects).

It comes from an item that is the result of a quest. The Lizardscale Woven Sash is the item and the quest requires a drop from the Cragbeast Queen. I just completed the quest today.

it does not stack. the buffslots stack (just like Blessing of Reverence, and Aura of Reverance, dont overwrite eachother, and you can have both buff icons up), but the -effect- does not stack.
Spell location?
# Jun 10 2004 at 11:06 AM Rating: Decent
Also, where can this spell be bought?
Clarification please???
# Jun 10 2004 at 11:05 AM Rating: Decent
Okay, I am admittedly a bit confused concerning this spell... could someone please help? It is my understand that this is a FOCUS EFFECT and not a buff with an ICON??? How do you tell when it is up if there is no icon, other than trying to watch for the "effect fades message". Also, I may have missed the answer to this, but: "Does this spell stack with BoR?" I apologize if I am reasking questions which have been answered, but I do not see the answers... Also does it stack with equipment that has Spell Haste focus effect?
Thank you in advance,
-Sunyar
focus

I want to know if it stacks with other focus effects. Otherwise it seems pretty weak.
This is not in game
# Apr 29 2004 at 2:57 PM Rating: Decent
It is not found on any item and is not on a scroll to be scribed into your spell book.

Circle of Summer/Winter are supposedly cleric spells now as well but there are no scrolls in game for us to scribe those either.

Princess.....
as another cleric of 60+ for a long time, let me tell you something. Your speech is the kind of thing that is giving clerics a bad name.

The most important thing it shows is that you don't READ the spell you are commenting on.

IT IS A FOCUS EFFECT.
Stated VERY clearly in the description.

Read what you are talking about before you start ranting and making ALL clerics look like the *** you seem to be.

So are you saying this Buff doesn't take up one of the 15 buff slots?
RE: Moron Clerics shouldn't SPEAK
# May 18 2004 at 9:19 AM Rating: Decent
I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure this person is saying that a focus effect does not take up one of your 15 buff slots.
#REDACTED, Posted: Apr 10 2004 at 11:38 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I dont normally like to poo poo stuff however; an extra buff is something my cleric does not need.

LMAO.. why the hell are you so down on Shammies? I'll bet they have saved your Upitty High and Mighty **** on more than one occasion.. And as far as Shammy buffs, ask a melee if they are so useless, and see what they say.. Oh and if you dont want their buffs .. ummm .. click them off ok?

Wowzers. Someone really has issues with Shammies.

:)

O, BTW: it's a FOCUS, not a BUFF. There's a bit of a difference :)
RE: I want this why?

Actually, it's a focus effect buff.

Princess Suzycue........

do everyone in EQ a favor....

quit while we're still ahead.

so sad to see someone talking bout something in which they have no clue.

take up sewing, go into gardening, try skydriving, just stay away from EQ and giving out your useless opinions.

After reading your idiotic post, and then looking at your other posts, YOU are the reason clerics have a bad name. Please do your research, and learn to play a cleric past hunting in PoV.

see: FOCUS EFFECT, not a spell with an icon
