This spell dropped for me while I was killing bandits in Grimling. It dropped off the named owlbear in the South West corner.
I killed the owlbear and the bajillion place-holders at so many times i was able to level from 52 to halfway into 54. BTW I finally gave up and did one of the mini-quests to get he medal for my epic ... too many greenies.
In 1 week of constant killing of that bandit camp and the single owlbear spawn, I got 1 pair of the Gloves of the damned and this spell. I didn't get anything else to drop ... not even a bear or pelt ... off this spawn or the place-holders. Good-luck!

Dropped off of named in the Deep last night (Lhurgoz the Decayed). Been farming zone for an Aug drop and buddy pulled him along with 15 other mobs. First time named spawned and he had it on him. Easy kill for a 64 Warr, 58 Beast, 68 Ench, and a pocket 74 dru for heals.

Got it today on mith marr for 15k. Expensive but it's a nice spell to have.
rarely and overpriced... :-/
