If there's a recipe for it, it's unknown.

not found the 54 spell yet in game but the 58 spell is called Phantasmal Protection also known as Transon's Phantasmal Protection, EQPlayers lists both spells seperately showing Phantasmal armor as a Regen(health) and the Phantasmal Protection as a hp buff(health/mana). At this time i think these are two different spells will be hunting in Shissar soon so will look for the noted Magister the Phantasmal Armor spell is said to drop off and see if i can find it.
WHY
# Aug 24 2006 at 10:08 PM Rating: Decent
Why is this spell not researchable like EVERY other non ldon magician (as well as chanter, necro and wizzy) spell? SoE must hate magicians. As a good comparison, this spell only drops off ONE mob in the game. The shissar magister. The shaman spell primal essence only drops off ONE mob in the game, also in ssra. Yet primal essence is researchable. Makes no sense.

Ok, my question to you is, since you have purchased the spell and have I'm sure tried it out, are the stats listed above accurate? The ones listed here are exactly the same as Phantom Armor. I can't see this spell stacking with Phantom Armor so I can only assume the stats should be higher on Phantasmal Armor. Could you confirm one way or the other please (if you read this)?

Maybe I'm just too new to the game and that Phantom Armor was added later as they decided mages should be able to get the same effect easier and at a slightly lower level. /shrug

It takes no reagent, like the Phantom line. Same effect, same duration, but no Cat's Eye Agate required to cast.

Not the best idea SOE ever had. It would be nice if they added a mana regen component to it.

Are you referring to the lvl 58 spell, or the lvl 54 spell here? I only ask because I read that this spell required a single pearl as a component where the lvl 58 version requires no gem like you mention. Confirm?

You are correct. Had Phantasmal mixed with the 58 version.

The only difference is the reagent used. You won't have to carry tons of cat eye's agates with you. Just grab a stack of pearls.
