My thoughts
# Jul 08 2005 at 3:20 PM Rating: Decent
I would have to say that from the couple other servers I have played, where the servers are completly crowded, that a server with a low amount of people gets back to what the game was all about, and that was playing and improving your characters the old fashioned way. I don't mind grouping, but I think some put too much into groups and guilds.
And from an earlier post, I do agree with the comment about stop asking for stuff. I spend the time earning what I get and have enjoyed the game a lot more from trial and error and actual good role playing adventure than from begging for items.
I for one enjoy this server it is less crowded and the world is free to roam without harrasment or constant scrolling of the chat window.
Besides, dying is beneficial, it teaches you how to die less and not repeat the same mistakes, making a lot stronger, more rounded, experienced player.
Playing 1 or 2X per week, LFG of friends

I am in a situation that I hope is not unique.

I love playing EQ, find it a great and fun stress reliever. I also have a family so spending hours on line every day is not an option (I want to keep my wife and kids close). I play maybe 6 hours per week and love grouping, especially with good/fun players, the kind that make me ROFLMAO, and are mature, you know the ones.

I find that my Pally, now level 33, is progressing a lot slower than most other toons because of my reduced playing time. The good friends I had at level 15 are now in their 40s and higher, and I can not afford the on-line time to keep up. A lot of my time on line is spent making new friends that will pass me too.

I would like to group up with others who can only play one or two nights per week, for a few hours per time on a scheduled basis (i.e. preset Tuesday and Friday evenings from 9:00 to 12:00 MST) or another schedule that meets most people's needs.

I am hoping to get a group of friends together on a regular schedule so I don't have to spend the first hour on line looking for a group; so we can hit an LDON or special Quest MOB right away; and so we can 'progress' through the levels at more or less the same pace.

Imagine it like pickup basketball where 15 people are involved, and 6 or eight show up on the scheduled evenings.

I sure hope there are enough others out there to make this work. If this is how you want to continue playing, please send me a message. I am on as Denaniely, or send me an e-mail at Cat_man_0561@hotmail.com.

Thanks,

Den

woot Denainley, fancy meeting you here. I myself play my main as much as possible (and it still seems like he's stuck in a rut in his 30s) But I'll see about getting my girlfriend to come and play her toon on your schedule.

Good morn,

I am usually on several times a week, and always am looking to grouo with good people, for whatever.... LDoN's especially, since it seems no one wants to do them anymore.

If you see me, give me a hollar.

I am in upstate NY.

I am just coming back to EQ. I played for a while about three years ago. I have noticed quite a few new players in the tutorial zone where I currently am playing. I am a level 3 wood elf ranger.

No! Do not ask for stuff, please! Kill and loot, kill and loot, kill and loot is the fun way to get stuff. Not standing in PoK, and doing an /ooc for hours.

Anyway... I used to play on Cazic and it got really... well I just got tired of it there. So I came to this server and, honestly, it's much more enjoyable and the people are far less arrogant in general. My main is a 35 sk named Slabb. Send me a tell to chat, ask a question, or whatever. go twins.
Quiet..

Would like to say MS server rocks! Originally from Beroxx, when MS opened I did what alot of people did......loaded a couple chars with gear and transferred. And then forgot about 'em. Started playing here in earnest about four weeks ago. Have met some very nice people here. Have a 23 Pally, looking for a guild that's fun, /roleplay would be great but not really neccessary. usually on midnight - 3 am EST during the week, and whenever the mood hits on weekends. Pally's name is Ytse, send a /tell if you are reruiting or if you just wamt to group :)

This guild is a very good guild for people to join. Just in watching how they play and knowing a few of the members has given me a new outlook on guilds.
