As a level 57 druid I give my buffs for free, SoW or DS, but only port someone only if they offer a donation. Porting is more time consuming then sitting in PoK casting buffs. You need to zone at least twice (you are going to zone with the person being ported). Also high level spells are very expensive as well sometimes they are as high as 10000pp or 100000pp too.

You need to zone twice and it is very time consuming. Believe me Druid high level spells cost alot of platinum as well.

I can't seem to get into eq today. Is there a patch? I went to eq live and they said that they took down several servers for maintenance but all the other servers would be up. After I enter my password it says logging into server selection please wait, but nothing happens. I usually get a message if theres a patch or if servers are down but this time nothing. This has happend once before to. I'm not quite sure what to make of this.

Just saying my hello and that I'm new here. I'm actually an old eq player returning from a long time. I've managed to get some good gear already but I'm not a twink. I started a darkelf Sk and was wondering if this is a populated server? The reason I returned to EQ was because theres a lot of stuff that I'd still like to do, like Raid certain zones and kill certain mobs. Maybe even start my own raiding guild one day. Anyways I usually play during the day 9am est, and at night 7pm est. And sometimes during the afternoon. So if I'm LFG don't be shy and group me up :)

I want to trade all of my items on Luclin server for items on Vallon Zek... On luclin i have a 31 beastlord with many items such as RMB, Centi hammer, 65 hp rings, and assortment of other good/decent items including pp(if you cant use these items you could sell them).. Personally, I feel that if a character has an ability others do not then yes, by all means, "ask" for a "donation". Druids aren't asked to port near as much as they were bofore PoP but there are still situations where chars. would prefer a port to time spent running to certain zones, ie: Sk. Scion ports take 15 mins of their time not to mention the time spent running. And 10pp is the average for druid ports which is MUCH less then I pay for Kei or Virtue (which costs a peridot - I believe 11pp, I pay 40 - 75pp for Virtue on my higher end char.)I have a 56 druid, he charges for ports only if he is called away from his business at hand. But during his years between 29 and 39, he charged for all ports. Without reservation. All EQ chars. have their own Special abilities and can make what they will of them. Druids are no different. So...someone asks for a port? Say sure. But if you want to make money, /ooc your ports to PoK or another zone. Players will respond. Without complaining of donation.

Porting, ah’ the business of a 29+ druid. Lol, the average price for a TP is 10pp per person. If there is any running or a bind involved depending on my mood, I might charge up to 20pp. This is pretty standard. Maybe for harder to find, higher-level ports you can charge more.

Porting for cash is generally the pathetic trait that ruined Druids images. ;)

how is druids charging for ports pathetic? its taken them time to get to those lvls to be able to port. do you say the same thing for chanters that charge for KEI? or clerics that charge for Rezzes its all about the time put into the character to get those skills/spells. If you ever asked my druid for a port for CR or any service I would refuse you b/c of your ignorance.

First off, I would have to say that porting for "donations" isnt bad...but if youre a yound druid porting people, you shouldnt always be expecting donations...not everyone believes in that. Secondly, Enchanters casting KEI is a completely different situation all together. You must understand that *most* enchanters have had to buy their KEI scrolls, and the earlier they bought it, the more they paid. I remember when friends of mine bought it for 100k+...now they are down to 5-10k, which is still alot of money for a spell. Druid port spells at level 29 cost at most 30pp each...not to mention when i ask druids i dont know for ports, i offer anywhere between 50 and 100pp per port, with clarity of choice. Clerics rezzing for donations? I rarely see it, but if its an epic rez, they deserve the cash, because for 1, they are traveling to whatever zone to rez you, not to mention cleric epics arent exactly easy :) That is all!

This is Umptitron Nics, your local ankle-biting druid. Recently my friends and I have decided to dedicate a few more hours a day (what’s a few more) to creating a new guild on the Luclin Server! We are very excited to bring a great group of friends into the scene as the foundation for what could be an amazing guild. We’d like to concentrate on helping people who are new to the game, not by “twinking”, but by dispensing advice. Already we have officers who have mastered many trade skills and are willing to help other members in anyway needed. We have a great Webmaster on board who’s ready to create, update & maintain an informative website. The majority of this guild will consist of Mid-level players for the beginning, which enables everyone to benefit from the group, not just people capable of running huge raids & slaying dragons. We will all level together, with buddies to both sides and more back up behind you. If this sounds like something anyone would be interested in, please email me "Brett@GoNBI.com". I will give you any other requested information at that time.
