trivial

Actually, according to the new tradeskill UI, the trivial on these is 176, rather than 178.
New recipe?
# Feb 23 2004 at 12:34 AM Rating: Decent
I just went and bought 6 of the pricey Platinum threads, went to make some more in a loom, and the new tradeskill ui shows the recipe as 2 gold threads in lieu of 1 platinum thread. So I figure, nice, I'll go sell back my plat threads and buy some cheaper golds to make my bags. Well, unfortunately, the vendor buys back the plat threads at about 95pp and change (they cost about 210 each with 168 cha.) So now I'm gonna blow some more hard earned plats and buy some gold threads to see if this recipe works.

EDIT* Tried recipe with 2 gold threads...it makes a Large Lemming Fur Bag - 8-Slot 25% Weight Reduction, trivial at 167. Upgrade to handmade backpacks, but not quite as good as the 10-slot LF Backpacks.

With the new tradeskill ui sometimes the recipe you want is not setup. So you need to hit experiment so you can learn the new recipe then it will be added to the new tradeskill lists.
what container
# Jan 12 2004 at 11:18 AM Rating: Decent
I just tried this 6 times and have used a small sewing kit, a large sewing kit, and a loom -- each time I get the message it's the wrong container type. So what is the correct container for this combine?

I tried this again today and it worked. Must have been a bug the first time I tried it.
Changed the trivial level?

Have they changed the trivial for it? When I first made one, I was at 158 and it was already trivial, but now I started making them again at tailoring 166, and never noticed that I was no longer getting the trivial message until I saw that I got a skillup, and then another to take me to 168. Still isn't trivial, as I still don't get the "You can no longer advance your skills...." message.

This is great, as it means you can sell a backpack that fetches 500-600 plat a piece from players and still get skillups till the mid 170s, as making the Acrylia studded masks suxxors because of all the acrylia combines and they don't sell for much because every tailor makes them for skill ups.

I'm skill 176 and just started getting Trivial message so trivial 175 .

If you get a skill up to 176, and then get the trivial message, then the trivial is 176. Which is supported by the fact that the new tradeskill UI says 176.
