I made some philter of shadows on 3-15-11. verified they are instant cast and can be used while running. They also have a 30 minute timer...however within 2 minutes of using the 1st one it wore off. not sure if this makes them better or worse than the merchant-bought cloudy potions but if nothing else they are a little cheaper if you make them yourself.

Even while the effect has a set timer attached it still wears off at random before the timer runs out.
