Fine steel is expensive.(60+pp) Very, from a vendor. I just wanted to help other Troll shamans and stuff. You can get a regular named weapon for MUCH less if you have the cash. Like a "spear" not rusty, not magic... but not BAD either... is like 14 pp.

Go out to Feerot (who cares if you die under 10) and see if someone left some fine steel on the ground or will give you one, or even offter to pay MUCH less, like 4pp for one (thats as much as they will get from a vendor anyways) So you save them a run to a vendor, and you get a weapon MUCH cheaper by cutting out the middle man vendor.

!!! Also, I was using my buffs and my self buffs make me about 1-2 levels beter then my real level. And some will argue getting SOW is important to get. That goes without saying, but try to get ALL your spells. and I totally underestimated TAINTED BREATH. its AWESOME. SOW and your DOTS are CRITICAL for a shaman. It makes a HUGE difference between a tough deep blue and CAKE... took an alligator down to half health with a dot and 3 swings from a fine steel spear. !!!

Im pretty concerned playing a Troll. I am now level 11 tonight. I LOVE playing such a roll playable character. Also one of the LEAST played... seems everyone is a barbarian, cat person or maybe an ogre.
My concern is why are ALL the quests such a freaking maze of facion. The ONLY decent quests I have done that there conducive to both level AND worth xp/time/money - risk VS reward... have been with the TROLL BEASTMASTER
and im not a BEASTMASTER. I am a freaking SHAMAN. WHERE?!?!?! Are our quests? WHERE? I feel like a foster child in my own home. On top of all that there is no level 5-10ish Noobie armor for us. (which blows btw)
On a posative note... The froglock blood quest, given by the beastloard troll is SUPER HIGH XP. I was level 10, turned in 3 and hit 11. 3 bloods for a full yellow at level 10 (after xp boost ends) is very nice. It was dooable at level 6 or so. It was MAD xp. As a matter of fact ALL the quests he gives are nice. Even the gator teeth one. AND the tadpole hides. I feel like a foster child.

The only good quest for the Troll Shaman I've seen is the Orc Deathfist Slashed Belt for Kaglari.

I wan't to created a troll shaman on FV server. I want to know some ways to make money for young shaman roaming the swamp since, you can't twink with only one character allowed on the server.

Also if you get "SPIDERLING" not "spider" silks, don't, i repeat DO NOT sell to a vendor, keep them. Id say try to get at least 4 or 5 stacks more if your patient enough cus people buying them like to buy in bulk. Then get a ride to bazaar. People buy for 2-5pp PER SILK!!!. with one stack thats 40-100pp. and you can do this in a hurry if you get to about level 5 or so and can hunt the spiderlings non stop. very good way to get money. Done it with my Darkelf SK on FV and people say im a twink HAH ... HOW? is what id like to know, do they think i can twink on FV. GL and good riddens. ALSO. first thign to do is save up and get backpacks or large bags and loot EVERY stackable item you can. when you level and go to train. sell. bone chips sell for 1 silver ad about 1-9 copper. snake skins rat ears etc sell for 9copper yet drop alot more often. so 2 of them = 1 silv 8 cp so a stack is alot more so get bags, and LOOT LOOT LOOT. i made over 30pp by level 4 in WFP newbie area thsi way. get pretty good items just by killing stuff you have to anyways if you loot everything.

Could somebody give me a straight answer as to how many Gnolls and Orcs I'll have to throttle before the High Pass Citizens and Guards won't try killing me? I started out at level 16 and just DINGed 18 and Captain Corben *still* scowls at me. It's not like I'm trying to date his daughter. I just wanna run through without getting attacked.

It took this one Troll SK 500 Blackburrow gnolls to get the Qeynosian guards to Dubious. You're gonna probably end up doing that much to get them to be dubious.
After that...For highpass, the easiest quest for those guys is the Shipment quest from the Rogues in Qeynos... but, if they glower at you dubiously, you are going to end up wasting a few scores of plat to Raz the Rat Misk in Southern Qeynos to build that up... I wouldn't suggest the Hurrietta's tunic quest, not at Dubious, though it is a good faction builder as well.

My troll SK leveled from 15-19 in groups in high pass. Then from 19-21 solo on the gnoll side. At about lvl 20 I stopped being KOS to the keep residents and I am now able to use the bank and sell in the keep. I did make the mistake of killing the volunteer a couple times. Which means my faction isn't quite as good with the guards as it is with the rest of the keep citizens. I'm not KOS to them anymore but I can't hand in scalps either.

I can't comment on HHP in specific, but my troll SK (Ggyyx on Saryrn) just spent 3 levels doing a slaughter fest in Crushbone to raise faction in GFay. I've killed TONS of centurions plus a raid through the castle and several trainers. In that time I have gone from "ready to attack" with the Kelwithe guards to "threateningly".
Methinks you have much more killin to do my friend.

You mite also find you have gone from apprehensivce to dubious or maybe even threatiningly with neriak guards since the Dark elves and the orcs are in cahoots against us trollies. Damn dark elves I dont carez if they are Eeeewil dey still elves and dey still tasty to eatz

Don't get me wrong some times it's nice being an evil race so you don't have to worry about killing things for faction...But lets face it being KOS sucks my lvl 27sk has died about 50 times from being KOS to about a billion things...I have tried getting my faction up but it take to long and ever time I try I end up seeing a human npc that I can kill and wonder what he drops, and helping kill Slate didn't help either. Right now I can barely even go anywhere without being killed! The DE hate me and so do the Ogres and my own guards are Dub to me! WTF! Why are trolls such a ***** to lvl! I hate them! But it's to much fun being evil even if it's the most frustrating thing on the planet plus it's hard to find a partner who will hunt human NPC's with me,
BTW the citizens at HHP are great exp but the guards give crap!

Accumulate a lot of cash. Now. That's the biggest amount of advice I can give you. Since you don't have any armor quests (That I know of beside's Hukulk's Helmet) you'll want to buy yourself armor or build up your blacksmithing to the point that you can.
I know it's not good hunting in Nektulos right now, but go for mostly Shadow wolves. You can give 2 wolf meats to this female troll... Wistra or something? Can't remember the name, but you'll get EXP AND a Large Bag. Good for holding more stuff for more money, no?
And when you get your magic spells, be sparing with the spells until you grab Meditate at Level 12. Concentrate mostly on Melee. Also, save your training points, you'll never know when you'll need those.
That's all the advice I can give. Have fun.
BTW You can find this female troll fairly easily when you go into the building at the far end of the Ogre/Troll slums in Neriak Foreign Quarter. If you don't know where that is, you go up the way to there, turn left a bit, and at the farthest end should be the door to the displaced trolls.

I'm sure you all are asking yourselfs tan? Trolls do need tans but the tan is not of happy sunny times tanning yourself it's about the evil ready to be released across Norrath. Trolls Across Norrath. I'm starting to create a guild that would exclude all other races that are not ready to except we will take over Norrath. One day in the great future of the trolls it will be ours. Not one person can stop us. The only reason you fear us is our extreme power over all. The evil within will be brought out. The swamp is only a nuturing place for this evil. Trolls will dominate all. Trolls Across Norrath unite and take no PRISONERS!!!
When I was born, I took to the swamps, hopeful of a bright future. Killing small froglocks and feasting on their remains made me powerful – soon, the kobolds and adult froglocks too were no match. Yet the going was rough… no friends to help out a young warrior in the swamps… tales from the faraway lands of humans and elves spoke of wealth beyond belief for young warriors, with many generous kin who were more than willing to help a novice grow stronger.
I was limited by the intolerance of others; the ogre hordes coming into our hunting grounds, yet offering nothing in return. Moreover, the deserts to the north still prove a formidable obstacle to my wanderlust. But I practice… killing, and as the bile rises from within, so my hatred for others increases everyday. There have been some generous trolls who come through Grobb on their way to another place, leaving behind a weapon or a piece of bronze armor, so that I too may someday leave the swamp to slay our foes.
I now longer look for a bright future, but instead strive to be the most powerful force of evil on Norrath… a pursuit that becomes more pleasurable with each corpse that collapses at my feet. I may not be rich or well equipped, but Innoruuk has blessed me with the most precious gift of all – the secure knowledge that one day, hate will govern all, and the weak shall perish from this planet (or end up in a yummy stew).
I have but one question for the great, wise knights of evil who have traveled the lands… where else may I train without earning the contempt of other dark warriors? I hear that the Indigo Brotherhood does not take kindly to trolls, but do the puny humans also fear my power? I have no desire to deal with the inferior races other than to exploit their weak guilds so I may grow stronger. I wish to travel beyond the swamps so I can develop a taste for the flesh of others. both qeynos and freeport have secret evil guilds in the tunnels below the cities that can be accessed by da trolls and all thogh i dont believe there is beastlord or shaman guilds in either of those cities. Echo caverns next door to Shadowhaven on the moon also has a large shopping/bank/guild area hidden in it that is devoted to those of less than pure intentions. It is true that the indigo brotherhhod don't like da troll sk and you be kos there to begin with and the faction climb is a hefty one you also be KOS to the Ogre SKs the "greenbluds". You can faction climb your way into these guilds but i dont think you need to really. if you close to oggok you close to home so go dair dey like you. If you close to Neriak go to freeport sk guild they not like you but dey not KOS you eider. And of courese there is evil trainers for almost all classes in da evil outpost in Overthere..
Just a further note on Freeport Evil guilds. There are tunnels under the city that give access to bothe east and north freeport. I have used these tunnels to hunt paladins of truth and to hunt freeport militia If you are a KOS class/race in Freeport or Queynos learn to use the tunnels under the cities they very very useful.
Just a further note on Freeport Evil guilds. There are tunnels under the city that give access to bothe east and north freeport. Trolls have the entire innothule swamp at their disposal right from the start, which is a major advantage. There are froglok tads and kobolds to fight as newbs, then varying stages of frogloks, plus mummies and zombies as you move up. Trolls are an excellent race.

Hmmm.... Why is it that trolls call Ogres stupid. Especially since Ogres have higher natural int then trolls do....Doesnt make much sense to me.

Before I took my 3 month vacation from EQ I wanted to start a character on the RP server, Fironi Vie, {or something like that} but now i'm back in EQ and would like to start a character on it since I left the guild I was organizing fell apart. The server came up during my absence so I didnt get to start a character on the first day it can you like I wonted to. Anyway here is want this post is about Why dont the trolls start a guild on the RP server. You, me, Duke Zonag, and other faithful servents {we need at least 10} and we could set up a time and all get together and make a guild on the RP server, and rule the server.
Just some thoughts I would like for you to consider my liege. I would really like to RP with you my liege I think the RP server is the best place to do that.
PS. I sent this by one of my underlings who are helping me lay the plans of the destruction of NF if he dosent make the journey in good time tell me I will punish him.

Man is just me or do Trolls look Freakn sweet with SoL out? i use to not like how they looked but i saw one when i got on and DAMB they were looked sweet as crud!!!! and tugok you can get back your old name if you really want it. If you look in your account and go into Forgot password then you can get your old account back. Oh yeah allmost forgot all of those Elves look really weak if they are armor on cause they look realy freakn skinny.

Pusbag i tried out DAoC aswell and the game just aint fun. Like Ursala said it is a pathetic copy of EQ which the game isnt even fun until you can RvR so whats the point of a game thats not fun until ur lvl 30+?

Ummm. After enough newbie characters, EQ isn't fun until level 30 either :) At least that's what I think. I hate running through basically the same zones with every new character for 30 levels.

It has caused me a great deal of anger to read some of these posts, particularly the one below asking if Odus is "taken." As Arbitrator of the High Council of Odus, I regret to inform you and your race that Odus is, indeed, "taken" by my people, the Erudites.
In all my long years on Odus, I have seen ONE Troll there. I do not know how many Erudites he had seen, but I was the last one, if you catch my meaning. No, I retract that. He never knew I was there.

Well spoken, most worthy King of Trolls. Nonetheless, Odus does serve as an easy, if out of the way, place for Us necromancers to gather a vast supply of bone chips. Other than that, however, it is quite worthless.

Hahaha, Pusbag is on vacation for two weeks, so I don't think he'll be able to respond to you so quickly. If I'm not totally mistaken though, I think he plays on Druzzil?? Not positive, but you can check out his journal in the User Journal Sections and get all the info.
