Ok sitll Can't seem to get Zorik to talk to me past the part where she asks if I a Necro. If is say boots, robe etc she says I haven't proved myself yet. My faction is amiable with Zorik - what do I do next? Thanks in advance for the help.

no links to the sub-items here, so I figured I'd collatae some of the information below. Torn silk pieces drop in Kael arena, 3 hours yielded the bracelet, the boots, and the gloves. Someone said most mobs in the Wakening Lands drop it as well.
Crushed jaundice gems drop in velketor's labrynth (man, I can't believe I don't remember how to spell labrinth, labrynth, whatever).

My first post .. < grin > but all the torn enchanted silk is found in KAEL .. Arena Area .. Robe Is Rare .. boots , sleeves , hat . not as rare but rare ..

Most items found in areana area in kael ex:
torn silk item and plate items. The robes are usualy found much deeper in.

Drop from most mobs in Waking Lands. At least suits of sentient armor and farie dragons that I know of for sure. So I suspect anyting blue at 50 (besides giants). Sentients also drop SK only sentient armor rarely (maybe 1 in 25) and crushed gems uncommonly (maybe 1 in 7 or so).
Also, they dropped flawed Aquamarina too, but I was under the impression that that isn't for any quest (heard it was for Freeport cultural armor).
If you are evil though, be careful of the thanes (look like faries) they are green and can mob you and fly on sow and cast ranger spells, very annoying (hit for up to 80). Ran into a camp of 3 of them by accident once while killing a suit (there's a small camp near one of the sentient camps) and ended up dying at 52.

I can't seem to get any straight answers. The
gems that are required, do they have to say
"crushed jaundice" and such? I have gotten
several gems from Cobalt Scar, such as Imperfect
Diamond, Jaundice, Flawless Emerald, etc. But
none have said "crushed" in the name. Do they
HAVE to say "crushed" in the name or is there a
way to "crush" them? Or would the current form
of the gem be alright ("Imperfect Diamond" etc.) ?
Also, where is this armor that you have to also
turn in? Same goes with the ancient silk armor
that you have to have for the quests in the giant
city...

assuming i actually want to roleplay this encounter, what is the prompt phrase. i can't see me actually walking up to someone in a strange city and saying "boots."

I tried using @#%^head and it did not work. Maybe it is broken?
Think I see what you did wrong. HEAD needs to be in caps~
you have nephrite listed here for the quest item but its crushed jaundice that is needed

I have seen several crushed gems drop in Cobalt Scars off various MOBS. Not sure where to get enchanted silk armor.

Hi all,
I have a 50th necro on Bertox and couldn't get Loremaster Zorik to prompt after her second line of text, which was prompted by me saying,"Yes, I am a necromancer".
I tried every variable I could, based on her response to this and got nowhere.
Could someone please tell me what words I must say to her to actually get a quest. Thanks. 8)

all you have to do is /say Boots. she will give you the quest you need for the boots. then you just /say robe. and so on.

I wasn't able to get her to list al the pieces she can make like the other NPCs, but to get her to tell you what is needed all you do is say the item you want. Such as boots, wrist, cap, gloves, leggings, sleeves, and robe.
I think these are the only items she makes.
