 This task begins with Embersmith Nicha (click for map image) in Argin-Hiz, found in a building at /location 560, 910, -195.

You say, 'Hail, Embersmith Nicha'

Embersmith Nicha says 'I don't have much to offer you stranger, as I'm sure you can see', nodding toward the empty shelves behind her. 'Times have been [tough] lately.'

You say, 'Tough?'

Embersmith Nicha says 'I've had trouble getting what I need to make my goods. The Councilors have restricted the flow of materials coming from the mines to a select few, which doesn't include me. No one knows why they decided to do this, but it's obviously been bad for business. Without those [materials], I can't craft my [armor].'

You say, 'What materials?'

Embersmith Nicha says 'Are you trying to help me out? That's a dangerous game you're playing. It's not safe to cross the Councilors, but I won't turn down your help either. I need [Emberheart Shards] for all types of armor, but the other materials will vary. For plate and chain I need [Solenium Ore], and for cloth and leather I need [Cindersilk]. If you bring me what I need, I can make some [armor] for you as well.'

You say, 'What armor?'

Embersmith Nicha says 'I can craft [cloth], [leather], [chain], and [plate] armor. It won't be free though. You'll have to pay me for the armor template, and you'll have to get me the [materials] I need.'

You say, 'Can you craft plate?'

Embersmith Nicha says 'For the plate armor, I'll need some [Emberheart Shards] and [Solenium Ore]. You'll also need to buy a plate template from me.'

You have been assigned the task 'Sol'dal Plate Armor'.

You say, 'Tell me about Emberheart Shards'

Embersmith Nicha says 'To get Emberheart Shards, you'll need to get your hands dirty. I can sell you an Ember Mining pick for a small fee. Inside the mines you can find Magmatic Stones. Use the pick to break those stones and if you are lucky, you'll find some shards.'

You say, 'What about Solenium Ore?'

Embersmith Nicha says 'The laborers in the mines keep any ore they find on their person. It's too valuable to leave lying around. I don't want to know how you intend to get it away from them.'



  1. Deliver 3 Emberheart Shards to Embersmith Nicha 0/3 (Argin-Hiz)

  2. Deliver 3 Solenium Ore to Embersmith Nicha 0/3 (Argin-Hiz)

  3. Deliver 1 Sol`Dal Cloth Template to Embersmith Nicha 0/3 (Argin-Hiz)

    Buy an "Ember Mining Pick" and a template (just under 1,200 platinum each) from Embersmith Nicha, and then head to the mines in the eastern part of the zone. The mines are loaded with "a laborer" mobs that drop the Ores, and for the shards, you'll need to find objects called "Magmatic Stone" scattered uncommonly throughout the mines. Right-click the Ember Mining Pick on these stones. After clicking your Ember Mining Pick on the "Magmatic Stone"s, the stone will go down to 100% health like a corpse. You must target that and type /loot to get the Ember Shards. They will not show up on /advloot. Some of them don't drop them either, but most of them do. Clicking on your mining pick is the same as casting a spell, too so it will be breaking your invis if you had one on. I suggest clearing around one of the Magmatic Stones (or if you can FD click the mining pick on it, FD and /loot is while you're laying down.)

    Once you've gotten all six items, turn in those along with the template to Embersmith Nicha to complete the task.

I was able to request and receive this task at level 79 for my SK. Was in a group with 2 other level 107 so not sure if that mattered. I have not gotten lucky with any drops yet so don't know if I can do the full turn in. Was able to buy the pick.

I believe it goes off the group average which would have been 98 rounded up for your group so the task can probably be obtained at 95.

After clicking your Ember Mining Pick on the "Magmatic Stone"s, the stone will go down to 100% health like a corpse. You must target that and type /loot to get the Ember Shards. They will not show up on /advloot. Some of them don't drop them either, but most of them do. Clicking on your mining pick is the same as casting a spell, too so it will be breaking your invis if you had one on. I suggest clearing around one of the Magmatic Stones (or if you can FD click the mining pick on it, FD and /loot is while you're laying down.)
