As others have posted here asking ROESAGER THURSTEN "who is nicalaus Ressinn" will get you a note if you have good enough faction. I did this at amaibly. In his comment he will say "I have a message from jahnda for him , BUT I MUST CONTINUE MY OWN SEARCH HERE IN QEYNOS.

I said: yo, i will slay the undead for you. To him. Then he ran to the ruins where the skeletons are. I already killed them so he wandered off. Then 2 skeletons spawned and he kept walking to the south west.

This quest is not really a quest anymore. VI broke it shortly after they implemented it. Way back in the day, neclo used to respond to a phrase, such as i will take or some such nonsense. He used to give you a note that you took back to South Qeynos. The guy was the enchanter or wizzie guildleader. He was outside and behind the normal guild. What happened was neclo gave you a letter, once you gave it to the guy in SQeynos, your reward was a lvl 44 enchanter/wizzie spell of a particular name. You could sell this spell for 1-2 plat. The reason VI broke this was because people used to abuse this. we made like 40-60 plat an hour using relay teams. this was like 4months after retail release. so that was alot of money back then. atleast it was to us =)I sure wish i knew about this from beta 3. anyone remember when his name was *neclo reshlar? they used to use the * infront before they switched to using !.

<I>This is part of of a Paladin for the Rodcet Nife Quests. So far I am not sure If Pallys are the only ones to do it and what item you get as I cant find the person to Decipher the Torn Parchment either. but will post what I have done so far here below. Hope it helps some.
First Go to the temple of life. find where the spells are sold inside the building to your right. Take the first door. and find Roesager Thusten standing just inside the door (sometimes hes outside gates wandering so you may need to waite for him to return.) Hail him.
Roesager Thusten says: Hail Taludara, My name is Roesager Thusten, Paladin of life. I am a loyal servant of the prime healer. And I seek to Destroy all who wish to bring death and disease to the land of Norrath.
Taludara says: Who is Niclaus Ressin?
Roesager Thusten says: Niclaus Ressin? Have you seen him? He is one of our Paladins Who was sent out to Ivestigate the undead sightings in the Qeynos Hills. I have a message from Jhanda for him, but I must continue my Own search here in Qeynos. Could take this note to Him? Your Help would be appreciated.
At this point Roesager Thusten gives you a Note . so Now you need to find Ressin.
So you Go out the gates and to the Left. Follow wall till you Zone into Qey Hills zone. keep following the wall till you pass the Shack hut and the fire area and just over the hillrise onto the other side (should of got location but my error) He should spawn there. you might have to waite a few moments for him to do so but this is where I found him.

Be sure that the Rib Bone comes from one of the Putrid Skeletons, they are the spawn of Bertoxxulous.

I wandered all over qeynos north and south trying to find someone to decipher this thing but to no avail Havent found anyone yet am still looking. and the rib bone I havent gotten just yet. but will post more here when I do finish this thing.

Say to him "i will slay the undead" or something to that effect ,and then he gives you a bag that you fill with bone chips ,and combine and give it back. Forget what he gives you.

`vixxA couple of days ago, I was looking for Gnasher Furgutt in Qeynos Hills when someone shouted 'there's a named gnoll at the crossroads to Karana'. The only odd name I saw was Gin`vixx so I tracked it as it headed north toward Surefall Glade. What an error in judgement! I never physically saw it, but it apparently saw me. This thing just toyed with me. I was still mobile at this point but I could not turn in place fast enough to put it in front of me. It hit me (with magic, I think) and I was rooted to the spot, unable to move for more than a minute. It hit me again and all my spells disappeared. Someone else could apparently see it and attacked it and then ran off with it following. That saved my life! When I was finally able to move, I tracked it coming back toward me. I beat feet and made it to Surefall Glade zone. My questions are many but mainly: What is Gin`vixx? What level is it? How can it be killed?

ok guys have to HAVE EXCELLENT faction to get note first off.i have hailed a ton of ppl,saying various things"can you decifer this note"who is nicluas ressinn" etc etc... i have found only one person up top that responds is roesayer shursten.and he talks about a note he has for niclaus ressinnbut i cant seem to get him to give it to me.any other info you guys have will be great

I have reason to believe that there is a gnome that sometimes appears in one of the bars that may be able to decifer it. He mentioned that he studied many languages.

the decipherer is in Highpass keep, a gnome named Lozani. he'll translate, and give you a lower level spell back.

Aren't you referring to the illegible scroll quest? I've heard rumor that this is possibly a referral to the Arcane guild in Freeport as far as those "knowledgeable in things arcane."
