This is the second event in the raid expedition "Citadel of the Worldslayer".

The event begins the moment someone steps into the trophy room:

Warning! Interlopers have entered the trophy room. Seal the chamber.

Pixtt Curator of Discord shouts 'So. You plan on pillaging my trophies. Silly mortals, this will only happen if you can get past my guards!'



Summary

Kill a wave of adds; then the Kyv Trophy; another wave of adds; the Ixt Trophy; another wave of adds; the Ikaav Trophy; a fourth wave of adds; the Lightning Trophy; and finally the Pyrilen and Gelidran Trophies (note all spawns are time-based; your progress in killing them has no bearing on the event). Then beat the Curator to 95% health for the win.



Bane Weapons

Around the platform in the room are six bane weapons and two shields:

Clikkt the Tentacle Shatterer - 1hb
Firkitt the Skitterer Ripper - 1hs
Hraxtt the Tentacle Smasher - 1hb
Ikrett the Bull Killer - piercing
Krattk the Lion Tamer - piercing
Raxtki the Skitterer Render - 1hs
Rekkter the Red - shield
Trexxt the White - shield

You can equip these for use against certain types of mobs in this event ("attack" the weapons and loot them as you would any NPC corpse):

Use 1hb on ferans; 1hs on ukuns; piercing on chimeras.



Order of Spawns

Step into the room to trigger the event. 30 seconds later, the Curator shouts to the zone. Shortly after this, the first add wave appears. From there, you'll have to deal with:

Kyv Trophy
Second add wave
Ixt Trophy
Third add wave
Ikaav Trophy
Fourth add wave
Electrified Trophy
Pyrilen and Gelidran Trophies
Pixtt Curator of Discord

Spawns are timed. You have about 50 seconds between an add wave and a trophy spawn. You have about 90 seconds between a trophy spawn and the subsequent add wave. Once that timer is up, the next part of the event will spawn regardless of your progress.

There is no penalty for taking too much time. However, allowing the mobs to build up will overwhelm your raid.

If you kill an add wave before the 50 seconds are up, the next trophy mob activates at that point. If you kill a Trophy before the 90 seconds are up, the next add wave will spawn at that point (the Curator shouts to the zone once the Trophy hits 30% health; shortly after this, the add wave spawns).

The Curator's spawn is the only one that is not based on a timer. It is triggered by the deaths of the final trophies.



The Trophy Guards

Each add wave indicated above consists of eight mobs: 2x "a chimeric trophyguard"; 2x "a feran trophyguard"; 2x "an ukun trophyguard"; 2x "a mastruq trophyguard".

People who looted the bane weapons should get on the appropriate add types (refer to the bane section above). Everyone else attack as needed (they'll still do damage - only much less than those with the bane weapons).

Mastruqs can be killed using mez spells:

a mastruq trophyguard The a mastruq trophyguard struggles mightily, blood running freely from it's nose and ears, but manages to free itself from the mesmerization. (sic)

a mastruq trophyguard died.

The other add types are not mezzable. All hit for a max ~5,500. None have any AE spells. None enrage. None rampage. The mastruqs flurry (others do not).



Kyv, Ixt, Ikaav, and Electrified Trophies

The Trophy mobs themselves hit for a max ~13,000 or so. None of them flurry or rampage. They all enrage. They all have various AEs:

Kyv Trophy

Ikaav Trophy

The Riftseeker Trophies

The final "Trophy" mobs you encounter are the two Riftseekers. They attack at the same time and have the same melee abilities as the previous trophies. There is another quirk to these two, however.

If you position them too far away from each other, they start meleeing quite heavily. If you position them too close together, their "Feedback" AEs grow stronger and more frequent. You'll have to be careful how you position them so not to get too much of either pitfall.

The Curator

After the trophies are killed, the Pixtt Curator of Discord appears and attacks (summons from 100%). It hits for a max ~14,000 and has no AEs or other special abilities. It disappears as it reaches 95% health:

Pixtt Curator of Discord shouts 'You are not worth the effort. I will leave you puny ones with your minor victory.'



Curator's Emotes

Warning for Add Wave 2:
Pixtt Curator of Discord shouts 'It is a surprise that you were able to make it past those guards. It must have been a fluke. You will not be able to continue!'

Warning for Add Wave 3:
Pixtt Curator of Discord shouts 'You think you are doing well, but you will not be able to persist!'

Warning for Add Wave 4:
Pixtt Curator of Discord shouts 'You have done better than I expected, and may even succeed. I will think on what I must do about you.'

Warning you're about to get another Trophy spawn while you're still killing a previous one:
Pixtt Curator of Discord shouts 'Silly mortals. You are too slow. Suffer the consequences.'

Warning for Riftseeker Trophies:
Pixtt Curator of Discord shouts 'This confluence of the elements will end you. If you even hope to survive you must control the elements, but I cannot see puny mortals such as you even conceiving of the proper method. Goodbye. I will not see you on that other side since I do not have the same weakness of mortality you have.'

If you fail:
Pixtt Curator of Discord shouts 'I knew that you puny mortals could not succeed. Do you have the fortitude to test your mettle again?'

Group of 4 seem to be not enough to triger event 2... we get text :Pixtt Curator of Discord shouts 'So. You plan on pillaging my trophies. Silly mortals, this will only happen if you can get past my guards!' but adds doesnt spawn and we get kicked out of the room... oh well!

no one needs to grab trexxt the white, the white sheild. It is pretty much useless. All other ones should be used.

Good post from below.

My guild delegates people to the following bane weapons:

Blunts - 2 beastlords (ferans)
Pierce - 2 rogues (chimeras)
Slash - 2 rangers (ukuns)
Shields - 2 shadowknights (not sure)

(notice that these are classes that *can* take a few hits from the trophyguards, and that this is one event where it is actually beneficial to have multiple main assists)

Depending on what type of weapons your guildies use, have your guildies concentrate on the mobs that are weakest against their weapontype. (there is about a 90 second to two minute window between the add spawns and the trophies coming to life, so get the adds dead asap).

The hardest part of the event has to be the Electrified Trophy; for some reason, the window between that mob and the two riftseekers seem to be shorter. Have your raid full-burn the Electrified mob.

As for the Riftseekers, it's up to you to find the ideal distance you would like to position them to balance their AE/melee damage. The AEs hurt a lot.

A good idea for this event... mark the bane weapon users as looters for the raid BEFORE starting event :P
