This is a temporary task, a pre-launch event for the Seeds of Destruction expansion (available until October 7, 2008). It begins with Deckarn Mystglade in the Dreadlands. He is located at the spires (approximately 2975, 9415, 1045).

You say, 'Hail, Deckarn Mystglade'

Deckarn Mystglade says 'I have no [time] for idle chat.'

You say, 'No time?'

Deckarn Mystglade says 'I'm sorry. I have had many strange visions as of late that have caused me much misery. I wish I could find out if these [visions] were real or not.'

You say, 'What visions?'

Deckarn Mystglade says 'Yes, visions or epic battles, cities re-building, corruption and decay, and war. If you could aid me by finding out if my visions have any [meaning], I would reward you properly.'

You say, 'I'll find their meaning'

You have been assigned the task 'Visions - Past or Future'.

Deckarn Mystglade says 'Thank you. Travel to my list of locations and please bring me back any information you can find.'

Locate and end the disturbance in Field of Bone 0/1 (Field of Bone)

Two dragons roam the Field of Bone - Lady Buzzaire and Lord Ayrnar. They hit for a max ~2,500; are partially slowable; rootable/snareable; and have ~350,000 hps. Some flavor text among them:

Lady Buzzaire says, 'What magic has Ganak learned to cause this?'
Lady Buzzaire says, 'Could this pile of bones be Jaled`Dar?!'
Lord Ayrnar says, 'What place is this? Where are the armies?'
Lord Ayrnar says, 'The Ring of Scale will never fall! We must continue to stand strong against the Iksar!'

You have been slain by Lord Ayrnar!
Lord Ayrnar says' 'Another falls at the claws of the Ring of Scale!'

Locate and end the disturbance in Warsliks Wood 0/1 (Warsliks Wood)

Two dragons roam in Warsliks Wood - Lord Chavair and Lord Domgar. They hit for a max ~2,500; are partially slowable; and rootable/snareable.

Locate and end the disturbance in Qeynos Hills 0/1 (Qeynos Hills)

Kill one of the 6-7 mobs near the Blackburrow entrance (called "an ancient Blackburrow _____"). They hit for a max ~2,500; are fully slowable; and are immune to root/snare.

Locate and end the disturbance in Commonlands 0/1 (Commonlands)

Kill one of the 6-7 mobs in the Commonlands (called "an Obliteration _____"). They hit for a max (?); are partially slowable; and rootable/snareable.

Locate and end the disturbance in the Rathe Mountains 0/1 (Rathe Mountains)

These are the green mobs called "a Rallosian scout" right when you zone in from the Gukta stone. They hit for a max (?); are partially slowable; and rootable/snareable.

Speak with Deckarn Mystglade 0/1 (Dreadlands)

You say, 'Hail, Deckarn Mystglade'

Your task 'Visions - Past or Future' has been updated.

You have found answers to Deckarn's questions but have raised many more for yourself. What could all of this mean?

You have successfully been granted your reward for: Visions - Past or Future

Reward Options:
5x Potion of Adventure and your choice out of the following augs (task is NOT repeatable, so choose wisely):
Focused Stone of Chaos
Living Stone of Chaos
Conflicted Stone of Chaos
Disrupted Stone of Chaos

Any news on this? I've finished every quest through OGH, OGV, BK and FoS and have yet to see 'a version of this quest'.

80 bard start to finish 3 hours (give or take) with 2 deaths due to ISP.

Bring a dozen or so heal pots with you cause the dragons do stun and lay a whipping on ya. Just get your dragon on track and scout out a decent spot to kite. When ready pull to that spot, these dragons have alot of hp so make sure you are ready for a run of 20-30 mins. Think cacophony had repopped so sure it is at least 15 mins.
Once you done the dragons the rest is pretty much a job in the park. All the locations and names list already are accurate. Make sure you grab your none kiting friends and your lazy ones too, the exp is lousy even on the red cons.

worst idea ever
# Oct 06 2008 at 4:41 PM Rating: Decent
is it just me, or is this probably the worst idea in the history of the game. All of these mobs are KOS, and they put all these things in the zoones where new people hunt. especially the mountains, that's the home city for the frogs. and you know if the go there, they will take a few steps and be dead. What were the makers thinking with this quest
End dialogues
# Oct 04 2008 at 11:00 PM Rating: Good
There is no end dialogue from Deckarn Mystglade, you simply get yellow text saying: "You have found answers to Deckarn's questions but have raised many more for yourself. What could all of this mean?"

for those of you who aren't as capable of engaging the full set of gnolls head on, you CAN choose to apply the following tactic:

head to the south end of Qeynos Hills. the gnolls will path down the road, as if they were headed towards Qeynos itself. as they path they'll pound on any guards they come across, but from what i observed, they ended up pathing single-file. eventually, they'll get to a certain point and poof one by one; so the tactic is to wait in an area off to the side of the road and prepare to pull one as the majority of the gnolls poof. an average-geared group should be able to handle two; three may be a small challenge. the light-blue-to-80 is a serious under-con cuz they'll POUND on you quick

The Rathe mountains varied a little.

The two I pulled with my chanter were immune to root/snare.
The captain hit my beastlord for 1850s, and really took a lot to make him finally surrender. He did not update the quest.

The green con regular mob I pulled after, hit for 1150 and was much easier to handle. He did update the quest.

The Dragon dps is FAR beyond any of these other mobs.

I'd rank them as:
1. FoB Dragon/WW Dragon
2. Qeynos
3. Commonlands
4. Rathe Mountains
Qeynos Hills
# Oct 02 2008 at 7:07 PM Rating: Decent
The mobs in Qeynos are called "An ancient Blackburrow whatever" and they aren't snareable unfortunately. :( At least the one I attempted wasn't, haha.
Dragon

FoB near kurns tower was where i found it, Lord Ayrnar. Red con to 80 mage, tribunal. The dragon in WW was more of a pain to find, Lord Chevair i think it was called, also red con. The Commonlands mobs were right by Kithicor forest zl. There were least 5 of them, d blue con to 80. Only need to kill one. Went down fast with 2 mage pets, nukes and melee mixed in (Monk/zerker)

FoB update - 2 mobs / Task reward options

There are two dragons in FoB, killing any of them gives the task update.

1. Lady Buzzaire

Lady Buzzaire says, "What magic has Ganak learned to cause this?"
Lady Buzzaire says, "Could this pile of bones be Jaled`Dar?!"

2. Lord Ayrnar

Lord Ayrnar is a blue dragon, red con to lvl 80, and wanders along the pit (east side) and along the shoreline in the north. He can be snared, hits for 3kish (highest hit I saw was 3165), AoE fears, doesn't summon, doesn't see invis, and got lots and lots of hitpoints. There is no faction hit upon killing him.

Lord Ayrnar says, "What place is this? Where are the armies?"
Lord Ayrnar says, "The Ring of Scale will never fall! We must continue to stand strong against the Iksar!"
Lord Ayrnar says 'Another falls at the claws of the Ring of Scale!' (when you get killed)

Reward option 1-4:

5x Potion of Adventure and either of the four Stones of Chaos:
Focused Stone of Chaos
Living Stone of Chaos
Conflicted Stone of Chaos
Disrupted Stone of Chaos

Locate and end the disturbance in Field of Bone 0/1 (Field of Bone)

Kill a dragon (named what? we've had multiple reported names.. - and where is it located?).

There are 2 different dragons in FoB - 1 is the Lady that was mentioned, the other is named Lord something... both dragons roam, seems Lady roams in north and Lord roams around the undead crater... Kill either 1 for the update
some info
# Oct 01 2008 at 5:21 PM Rating: Decent
Dragon Names:

FoB: Lady Buzzaire - Mob roams in FoB. Snarable (i think). Kitable with one wizzie, more than one helps. Red to lvl 80. killing her gets the update.

WW: Lord Chavair - mob roams around all over the North West. Snared, wizzie kited = easy takedown. Red to lvl 80. Killing him gets the update

QH: An Ancient Blackburrow Reaver - Mob roams in QH. wasn't snared. Take down was not as simple as other mobs. Light blue to lvl 80. encountered 6 of them by the merchant hut just north of the crossroads. killing one of them gets the update

Commonlands: An Obliteration Conjuror (Captain, etc). - Mob found south of the water near wizzie spires. cons blue to lvl 80. rootable. easy takedown. killing one of them gets the update

Rathe Mountains: Ogre Captains and Rallosian Orcs - just west of the PoK book. Area is flooded with these mobs. They con light blue to lvl 80 and are easily killed. Killing one of them gets the update.

After getting the updates, go back to Rathe and Hail Deckarn Mystglade. You see the text:

"You have found answers to Deckarn's questions but have raised many more for yourself. What could all of this mean?"

You recieve 5 Potions of Adventure and a choice between 4 augs:
Disrupted Stone of Chaos (15AC, 70hp)
Conflicted Stone of Chaos (70hp, 70mana)
Focused Stone of Chaos (90mana)
Living Stone of Chaos (90hp)

I hope this helps,
