I just did it a second time and once that was done, I saw it back on the list of tasks he has available, it's repeatable. Although it said i gained experience, 100% into AA with 8000+, the percent was 76 before and 76 after, miniscule then. Easy way to work faction though:

I made sure to be shrouded during the final hail.

Shrouded down to 55 (worked as well). Did final hail unshrouded (95) without any problems. Confirm it's only 4 of each now.

Hello all, I was just able to get this on my level 41 ranger. This most likely becomes available at level 40, not level 44!
The quest level limit maximum is probably 60 as i was 59 or 60 when i got this quest and at 61 he would not give me any more work.

My level 44 warrior was able to get this task and complete it. Added about 4% basic exp in addition to exp gained from killing the mobs.

can you use a shroud and get yourself to a lower lvl to receive the task... then unshroud... and do the quest?
As a lvl 56 ogre warr with amicable faction I received and completed the quest. The mobs were grey and green at 56, and single pulls.
