Jenn Stalbath says 'Have you heard of [Blackfeather Roost]?' You say, 'I have heard of Blackfeather Roost.' Jenn Stalbath says 'It sounds like a wondrous place. Filled with creatures of flight, including my very favorite of them all, griffons! I've always wanted to see a griffon. I hear the hunters speak of those magical creatures and my imagination soars. I long to [see] one for myself. You say, 'You will see them one day.' Jenn Stalbath says 'Ever since I was little I wanted to see these griffons, but I am terrified of going there myself. Heights scare me, and I get nervous venturing too far from Crescent Reach. Perhaps one day I will be able to touch their [feathers].' You say, 'What is special about their feathers?' Jenn Stalbath says 'They have the most beautiful feathers, or so I hear! Each is unique unto itself. There are many types of griffons that inhabit the Roost, and I long for one of [each].' You say, 'I will bring you one of each.' Jenn Stalbath says 'Are you heading there? Oh, if you could bring me some that would be most wonderful!' You have been assigned the task 'Griffon Feathers'. Jenn Stalbath is interested in collecting griffon feathers. She is curious about the different types of nests and areas within Blackfeather Roost. Travel there and bring her examples of different feather types. The exploration stages all update as you get close to the location of the appropriate feather. An emote tells you where to look. The feathers can all be pre looted. You will need to complete four of the Blackfeather Roost "Travel" tasks in order to reach all of the feather locations. Explore the first ledge of the Roost - Blackfeather Roost You spy a griffon feather in the corner near some bushes. Collect a Red Griffon Feather - Blackfeather Roost Loc: 1590,-200 Explore the second ledge of the Roost - Blackfeather Roost One of the feathers from a neaby totem seems to have come loose. Collect a Brown Griffon Feather - Blackfeather Roost Loc: 3550,-1290 Explore the third ledge of the Roost - Blackfeather Roost A feather floats through the air and lands under a nearby standard. Collect a Golden Griffon Feather - Blackfeather Roost Loc: 3700,1150 Explore the fourth ledge of the Roost - Blackfeather Roost The breeze stirs the air around a nearby rock, a feather catches your eye. Collect a Black Griffon Feather - Blackfeather Roost Loc: 4810,-500 Explore the fifth ledge of the Roost - Blackfeather Roost A feather shimmers atop a small platform, it seems to have been placed there intentionally... Collect a White Griffon Feather - Blackfeather Roost Loc: 6370,1080 Deliver 1 Red Griffon Feather to Jenn Stalbath - Crescent Reach Deliver 1 Brown Griffon Feather to Jenn Stalbath - Crescent Reach Deliver 1 Golden Griffon Feather to Jenn Stalbath - Crescent Reach Deliver 1 Black Griffon Feather to Jenn Stalbath - Crescent Reach Deliver 1 White Griffon Feather to Jenn Stalbath - Crescent Reach Jenn Stalbath says 'Thanks so much for your help.' So I just did this with a box group, if you run in one at a time it spawns the feather. Instead of waiting the 5-10 minutes.

I was in the zone and noticed I missed this quest. Looked it up rq and noticed the parts could be pre-looted. Went ahead and grabbed them. As soon as I got back to CR and got the quest, it updated all of the "Collect a XXXXX Griffon Feather" entries. I then handed everything in and the Deliver entries updated. Now I have to run all the way back out there just to run up the ledges again :/

i got the golden feather but the quest would not update till i went to the next ledge once i landed and checked the quest it was all ready updated.i hope this helps.

if i walk hunkered down by using the x key on the key board i could go thru the walls of the nest.but i would not advise doing it unless your in a group cause you will have 2 to 3 harpies waiting on you when you pop your invisible spell
Nevermind, this task update happened on the opposite side of the zone for me. Weird.

Was a decent reward, by now its replaced by defiant armors just as same as most of gears.
Well, Blackfeather Roost itself is well designed zone, and quests related with it give good exp to 50's.
Strongly recommend to have a look into this zone if you get time to spend.

I just completed this quest tonight for my 62 mage... decent item, I haven't found anything for a mage that is better in this slot yet, at this level. And personally, I think the progressive quests to get through the zone are fun, so it's an enjoyable quest =)
Aggitated skelies are see invis and are on all ledges now.
Over the last 15 months, we've traveled to every corner of the United States. I've now been in 57 states? I think one left to go.

I believe the aggitated skellies are part of the ramp up to the release of The Buried Sea Expansion. They are indiff and do not acknowledge a hail. I'm also seeing zombies and other undead in several zones. We should know in a few days.

As seems to be the case with many TSS quests, the required level and NO TRADE status of the reward item seem out of line with the difficulty. As noted above, no combat is required to get the feathers, but the mobs you'll have to kill to progress through the zone hit hard! Once you have access to the entire zone, you can just invis and complete this quest - I didn't encounter a single see-invis mob.

Don't mistakenly think you have to kill griffons to get feathers, as I did...
The collect portions of this quest are from ground spawns on the various Ledges in the zone. When exploring and completing a task line an emote will occur giving hints to where to locate the ground spawn. For example on the first ledge the emote is something like "you notice a feather caught in a bush near a corner" or something to that effect. Similar hints on higher ledges.
