Pulizzi #2: A Brim Task

Artificer Pulizzi may be found at -1365, 785 (southwest part of the zone's middle section).
On completing Slicing Clay... Artificer Pulizzi says 'Thank you very much for your assistance ____. It is unusual to find someone so willing to [lend a hand] in these turbulent times.' You say, 'Lend a hand?' Artificer Pulizzi says 'I've heard good things about you. If anyone can slip past Dyn`leth's defenses and tackle this task it's you. Keep your wits about you, friend. These monolithic monstrosities will be useless at best . . . and deadly hostile at worst.' You have been assigned the task 'A Brim Task'. You receive Pulizzi's Golem Control Wand Artificer Pulizzi provided you with a wand of golem control and warned you to be on the lookout for brimstone statues within the west wing of Ashengate that behave erratically. Using the wand on them will cause these statues to permamently deactivate. After you have disabled several of these statues, locate the Brimstone Juggernaut. The Juggernaut is far too resistant to disable with the wand so you may need to deal with it more directly. Until the temple can be restored to its former glory, these statues should be considered a liability. Use the wand on 2 Brimstone Abherrants 0/2 (Ashengate, Reliquary of the Scale) "a brimstone abherrant" can be found in the west wing of Ashengate. You must be standing directly under the mob to get it to work. Destroy the Brimstone Juggernaut 0/1 (Ashengate, Reliquary of the Scale) This step can be completed before dispelling the abherrants. Speak to Artificer Pulizzi 0/1 (Sunderock Springs) You say, 'Hail, Artificer Pulizzi' Artificer Pulizzi says 'Many people have many reasons to be grateful to you for [lenging a hand] (sic) in such a dangerous task. I am one of them, and so I thank you on behalf of Crescent Reach and her citizens.' The brimstone statues have been dealt with. Ashengate is a little safer, thanks to you. Your faction standing with Scholars of Solusek got better. You gain experience!! This unlocks the task Dark Guardians of Ashengate | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

I can't get the click to work on the Brimstone aberrants. I used all clicks that were available. how do I get another one?

Have you tried talking to Artificer Pulizzi again to see if they will give you another? You may have to destroy the item that has no charges on it.

For some reason, I cannot get this thing to work. I'm well within melee range when I'm right clicking it...I have it in my primary slot, and nothing happens? What am I doing wrong?

If not for the potion, then doing this for the Scholars of Solusek faction so that you can do the Ashengate raids is worthwhile, unless you feel like doing the Jenray arc over and over.

The best time to get and do this quest is when you are holding the camp for the purpose of getting the 30AC 60Hp aug for your melee types. It drops from Argil Oppressor which spawns 3 mobs over from the Brimstone Juggernaut. Since you will be there anyway might as well knock out this ez quest.
The post about being right next to the guy when you use your wand is correct. You need to be within its tight melee range. When you use it, it goes off like a spell with a casting time and it poofs the mob with no corpse and no loot. So let your grp know you need to destroy a couple otherwise they will think the mob gated or something because it dissapears instantly and nobody gets exp from the kill. Your group shouldnt mind too much if you let them know in advance that they only need to tank the mob for a few seconds till you get the wand click off.
No need for dps or anything the wand works at 100-1 percent of the mob health but if you wait until your group spent mana and effort to get it down to 5% health before you poof it they might not appreciate it hehe.
The mobs you need to click are the couple on the 2nd platform up from the base and they are on the left. One is immediate left and the second on the left is the PH for the Brimstone Juggernaut. There are others around but if you just clear those couple spawns as part of your camp for Argil Oppresor you will knock out this quest easily.

Speak to Artificer Pulizzi
That ends the task.

Done it, next one is Dark Guardians of Ashengate. kill 10 darkshard guards, galvanized guardian, and collect a pulsing obsidian shard. for a get this. potion tonic of empowerment. 25% spell damage increase. Hope there's more
