This task no longer appears to have a hail at the end. Just the 5 explore steps.

did this quest with a level 65 cleric. it was easy finding the first 4 places but the storm's eye was a pain and took me at least a few tries running back and forth trying to find it. overall, not a bad quest. i received 2 full aa points on completion; however, i had 100%xp going to aa. not bad in my book,

Apparently you can't get the task Arcstone, Isle of the Spirits after you complete the cloak quest. Anyone know if this is a bug?

Using a shroud...

Could this all be safely done using a goblin rogue shroud?

This is possible using a rogue shroud, however it is not quite as safe as you think. There are some few mobs that CAN see a shrouded rogue here, but they are easily avoided. I did this task in shroud and completed it without being attacked, but I conned EVERYTHING to make sure I was safe to move by them.
locations..?

Anyone knoiws the locations of these spots.. I am having trouble finding the one in the tanglefoot area and the one in the fire area
locations..?
# Aug 28 2006 at 3:50 AM Rating: Decent
I got it at approximately 1090, -208, 202. Good luck. (con every mob as there were 4 see invis in the area).

Try running down the middle of the field where TAnglefoot roams. Most likely it will be a suicide run as there are see invis. This is what I finally had to do to get that part.

As far as the fire area, iirc approach the center of the camp from the side where the goat/horse herder roams. I found that to be a safe spot.
The Earth Root

I can't seem to find the check point area for Xanzerok, the Earth Root. I've been all over where he wanders and I haven't gotten the task update. (he was up while I was wondering around if that makes any difference.) Any help would be great

There's a spot where most of the wanderers come together, and there's a bigger clump of grass. Usually, of course, the see invis ones wander through this spot. It's right in the middle of the biggest section of the Tangleroot valley. Was my hardest one to find too.

And at 90% to AA, I got 34% of an AA (went to 54% from 20%).

Task Timer?
# Apr 27 2006 at 11:24 AM Rating: Decent
Is there a task timer for this mission and if so how long is it. Another question is does this shoot you to an instance or do you have to wait for the mob to spawn before you get the task updated for exploring?

This is just a solo task; no instance and no timer, but you can only do it once. You don't need the mob to be up to do this, just run to the area that it would spawn and get an update.

An easy AA
# Apr 25 2006 at 7:22 PM Rating: Decent
This is one of the easiest solo quests, similar to finding locs for slipgear in Corathus Creep. At level 70, I obtained a full AA for about 10 minutes work.
