What are the minimum requirements for this quest?

After handing in your Thrice Notched Guja Token to Sugal the Fist:

Sugal the Fist says 'I wish I could say I welcome your return. But news has reached us. Apparently you did your job too well. The Lizardmen are even now readying for war. We cannot afford that fight. The council has decided we must . . .accept [another option].'

You say, 'Another option?'

Sugal the Fist says 'The Lizardmen have challenged us, demanding that you represent Gukta. Should you win, war will be averted and many lives spared. Of course, it may mean your [own life].'

You say, 'I will give my own life.'

Sugal the Fist says 'I applaud your bravery, ______. Come victory or death, you will always be remembered. Go to the obelisk bridge in front of the temple. Give your Guja Token to their emissary. It was the only sign they would accept to guarantee your identity. And it means you will only have one chance. Be wary. They are not to be trusted.'

You will need at least a healer with you, preferably more. You need to hand your Thrice Notched Gukta Token to Emissary Shinsere. After handing it in, Thurgal the Champion, a hasted warrior with a large amount of hps, will spawn. The emissary is a cleric and will assist Thurgal. Both were blue at 40th level.

Once defeated, Thurgal will drop his tongue. The emissary drops nothing. Take the tongue to Sugal as proof of your actions.

Sugal the Fist says 'Well done! The Lizardmen have been spurned. They will lick their wounded pride for months. This is a great victory for Gukta, ______. Here, take my own sigil of the Guja. And my shield. They are the best gifts I can think to give. Wear them proudly. You are truly a Guja now.'

Need faction hits if any and actual name of tongue.

Hmm.. hmm.. I admit I am not hanging around in Innothule all that often... but I am sad to see Sugal the Fist has wandered off some other zone or just left the game entirely... /sniff ... I miss by half-zone wide knock backs! They were fun...
Tell me why I would want to waste time on this?

See this is why the game is no longer fun to play now, with a low level of 30 on this item, even for a warrior, the stats are not worth the time to fetch it. The anniversary doll with equal stats of 15 for all above the board, and it was free just for bouncing over to a portal zone.

The quests need to reward the time involved, be it by group or solo. More often then not the solo'able quest's can be done at a higher level, but then again by the time you get there you've got something better.

Instead of expanding out on new zones, or repop'ing the existing zones, some one should focus in on creating solo'able quests with better than junk stats.

This game is nearly seven years old, and I've played it since day one go. The challenge to play no longer exists, especially since I solo 99.99999% percent of the time. Why solo you ask, because I'm not interested in loosing an abnormal amount of experience due in part to someone elses lack of skill play, or intellegence.

Group play is great, when you are with a good or better group. But it only takes one person to drop the ball and cost you weeks, not hours of game play to regain lost experience.

The only option to offset that would be to create individual quests, solo-able, that would grant better than average stats on reward items.

The merger of servers, unsettling as they were, are prime indicators of lost players. Merging two or even three or more servers into a single server does nothing but repopulate a server with 1000 or more players.

For what pupose? To group? This game was designed to be played as a group, in a group, but the real long term players know that the better reward is to solo an item and not buy it from a machine (guild) who spends all their time raiding a zone that can only be done 60 or more people.

Learn from what lays before you, design the game with better solo-able quests, do what you want with the requirements, but make the quests solo-able with better than junk rewards.

Sadly I have watched EQ morph from a great online game into capitalists dream money making machine, both outside the server as well as within.

The game is no longer challenging, it is no longer rewarding. You have lost players because of this lack of forsight.

EQ has the potential to retain players, to be challenging, to have better rewards. But where are those designers? The ones who created the game? Where have they gone off to?

The irony here is overwhelming. It's: losing, else's, and intelligence. Plus, the first comma should be a question mark, and the word "play" could be left out, since it makes your meaning unclear.

I typed : “Why solo you ask, because I'm not interested in loosing an abnormal amount of experience due in part to someone elses lack of skill play, or intellegence.”

First off, typos happen especially when you are in such a heated mood as I was when that was typed. To come back with such an, "OMG I am so much smarter than you reply" as to critique someone’s typing isn’t very original.

BTW, that was ripped off and sent in about 20 seconds, how fast and accurate can you type? It probably took you all day I bet.

Your assumption about the placement of the question mark is invalid, the sentence was not complete. The placement of the comma after play was meant to be behind skill instead, guess your grammar needs work.

If I were you I wouldn’t give up that day job proof reading just yet. You’ve still got a lot to learn.

Oh, and for your information I had intelligence spelt incorrectly also, and you didn’t even catch that.

You play an MMORPG, then whine about how much grouping sucks and how much itemization sucks for solo players. Maybe you'd be better off with something like Diablo.

Also, you can't tune items and quests toward soloing, as it will only trivialize the content for a group of even lower levels.

Stick with playing the game, and let the developers do the creating. You don't like what they're creating? Leave!

You play solo all the time, so it's not like anyone will miss you...

As I stated, I started playing this game from day one go. Back then I did group, since a lot of my friends played EQ as well. They slowly left the game, some as new expansions came out and they could not or did not want to upgrade to play the game. Others just lost interest in it, or their jobs or lifestyles conflicted with the game times we played.

I joined many guilds, watched a lot of them fail as people faded from the player ranks. Or found out that out of 138 guild members, only 6 had played in the past year. I even gave up playing for a short while to check out other games, but never gave up the account. Hoping that some day things would get better. As more players turned to twinking the shared banking combined with the bazaar just increased the twinkers feasibility. As more of them turned the game into profit scheme than just for fun. And even more and more people just turn into, well this is a family post, so I won't say it, but we'll just refer to it as people like you.

Who can't see what the game could have become if some changes hadn't happened, while others should have!

There has been and probably always will be a mixture of players who prefer to solo and those who prefer to group. To ignore those that solo when the ranks are still dwindling does nothing to retain those players who do like to solo.

Leaving nothing but players like yourself, who think they have seen and played enough of the game to know what they are talking about when in fact there oldest char is only three years old.

Maybe I will leave for good next time, in fact I'm hoping this latest thing to sell items and characters for real cash works out. Then instead of wasting away 8 characters all with their epics, I can get something back on my return and loyalty to the game for so long.

And all of them will have all seven anniversary perks as well.

In fact just today I spoke with a long time friend who use to play EQ and EQ2 who told me to not give up on Guild Wars. The concept there is exactly what we all have been looking for to happen to EQ.

I think it's safe to say that you're not happy with the game... so how healthy is it for you to keep playing and complaining?

I don’t think I’ve ever see so much complaining from someone who refuses to take action… even when that same person suggests an appropriate action.

I have to echo the sentiment… if you’re not happy, by all means, leave! Why would you continue to pay the subscription and play the game that makes you so miserable?

By saying you should just leave, and then not leaving... you do absolutely no good for your credibility.
