Got my leggings this morning. The only item I actually found on a mob was the Ball of pulpy fungus, the rest I found on merchants. So this was an easy quest for me. lvl 7. So far I have all but one item for every other piece of this quest. (excluding the vestment) I've bought a lot of it, but not all. I'm having a blast working on the quest instead of focusing on leveling. I'm getting the levels anyway.
*note: only put the items listed for the quest in the crucible to make the mesh.
*note: use the forge in the market and only put the mesh and the mold in it.

Trolls and other evil ilk still wander the Innothule Swamp, ready to feast on Froglok flesh. Their allies, the ogres, infest the Feerrott to the south, vying with the cursed Lizard men in a lasting contest of evil. Our lands stand distant from the other good races, separated by wastelands and deserts. Our army is our only defense. But that is enough. I am the teacher of young [froglok wizards]. This mesh, when combined with the proper mold and worked in a forge, will allow you to create your own Armor of the Jin Initiate. You say, 'which various components' Jin Master Sergug says 'These are not the usual components used in spells. Look instead in Innothule Swamp for your pieces. The many enemies and vermin that stalk that bog hold items which are only trash to others. But to you they will eventually become treasures. When you are ready to attempt making your armor, return and tell me what you [wish] to make and I will instruct you. I can teach you the recipes and give you the proper molds for the Armor of the Jin Initiate [Headband], [Vestment], [Armwraps], [Bracer], [Handwraps], [Leggings], and [Sandals]. You say, 'I wish leggings' Jin Master Sergug says 'What better to protect you from all that lurks beneath the swamp's murky waters? You'll need a Kobold Talon, a Ball of Pulpy Fungus, a Kobold Liver and a Giant Moccasin Fang. Combine these components in your crucible. One of the best items ever made for teh game was these newbie quests. Its really not bad armor considering how easy most of it is to get. I made a rogue on one of the PvP server, and without any help was able to easily get everything but the tunic by level 8. And being on PvP the NO DROP feature of them is handy.
i put all the ingredients in the crucible and they wouldnt combine...gee i for the life of me dont know what i did wrong

I found my Ball of Pulpy Fungus on a Fungus Man Tracker. I think I killed somewhere close to 30-40 before I found one.

This is probably the easiest of the newbie armour quests for Froglok Wizzies. The mob drops were not hard to get at all. Follow the east side of the zone up towards Guk and you will get all these drops probably within an hour (less if your lucky). I killed the mobs for mine, but as all of the items are NOT no drop you can quite often find them on merchants too. The stats could be a little bit higher but all in all not bad for newbie armour and the graphic is cool (green and scaly).
