Just to let you know, Jewels are random drop off anything in a certain level range. I've gotten them off of sunflowers, lightcrawlers, shades, and scarlet cheetahs so far.
Get them fairly regularly off of Wolves and Zelniaks in Dawnshroud also.
Edit: Large Zelniaks, not the small or just plain 'zelniak', not that I have found at least.

I got this Mark off of either a Rockhopper or the Cave guys that appear after you kill the Age Old Rockhopper in DP. Sorry I can't remember, but it's all in the Rockhopper Cave anyhow...
I found this item in Dawnshroud off an unnamed zelniak...small medium or large i forget, sorry =(
