Allright heres the thing.
All Unadorned stuff drops in the hall OF Testing in Temple of Veeshan (better be raiding)
It Drops off of pretty much any normal dragon,
They are rare so dont expect to get them first try.

Fardonad Fe`Dhar is located in a room just beyond the maze, immediately to your left once you've ported into the giant staircase section.
You say, 'Hail, Fardonad Fe`Dhar' Fardonad Fe`Dhar bows. 'Hail, most pious one. I sense the aura of your devotion and conviction and it is strong about you. A shame you are so short lived, mortal. But I see potential in you and for that I shall aid you in your calling if you are a cleric. Do you wish my aid?' You say, 'I wish your aid' Fardonad Fe`Dhar says 'Then I have a set of goals for you. Once you have achieved them, you shall be rewarded with a helm, a breastplate, armplates, bracers, gauntlets, greaves and boots. May they protect you from your enemies.' You say, 'What boots?' Fardonad Fe`Dhar says 'With your aid, I shall make a pair of fine boots for you. All that is needed are a pair of unadorned plate boots and three crushed flame emeralds.' Gems are dropped off various NPCs in Velketor's Labyrinth, Siren's Grotto, Cobalt Scar and The Wakening Land. Unadorned plate armor is dropped randomly in the Halls of Testing inside the Temple of Veeshan. Bring the three gems and armor piece back and in exchange, you'll receive your reward, experience and faction. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Yes.. They are no drop
And for the guy below this post, as a cleric, you will most likly not loose faction if you are in the right spot.. They drop in Temple of Veeshan

Where does unadorned plate drop? Does it involve faction hits to obtain?

Temple of Veeshan. Level 60+ mobs in the testing halls past Zemm.
CoV faction just about required, no faction hits for killing these mobs.
