This Halloween seasonal task was added in October of 2022. The task starts with Tully Alford in Blightfire Moors. You can find him in the trading outpost in the center of the zone at /waypoint -132, 610, 18. He is on the find tool CTRL F.
You say, 'Hail, Tully Alford' Tully Alford says, 'Oh hello, _____. May the [Nights of the Dead] haunt your dreams.' You say, 'Happy Nights of the Dead. What are you up to out here?' Tully Alford says, 'I'm working on a [new spell] and am looking for certain ingredients that can only be harvested during the Nights of the Dead. ' You say, 'What new spell?' Tully Alford says, 'I'm not going to tell you that. I don't want you to [steal] my idea.' You say, 'I won't steal your idea.' Tully Alford says, 'I may follow the [ways of rot], but I am no fool. ' You say, 'The ways of rot? Do you mean the Plaguebringer?' Tully Alford says, 'Indeed. May his [decay] spread with ease and touch all those who long for it. ' You say, 'Are you looking for something that has decayed?' Tully Alford says, 'You seem awfully nosy. If you insist, I am always looking for things that have been touched by [disease]. ' You say, 'I can help clean up the disease. I mean help spread it.' You have been assigned the task 'The Rot Within [106+]'. Tully Alford says, 'Head to the Valley of King Xorbb and hunt some minotaurs. I need some of their limbs and horns. You may also want to harvest some of the dead feathered grass that may be growing near them. Take care when handling the grass. I wouldn't want anything to happen to you.' Tully Alford is a devoted follower of Bertoxxulous and is spending his Nights of the Dead working on a new spell using seasonally available ingredients. He doesn't want to share the details in case you were thinking about stealing his idea, but he might be willing to reward your efforts in gathering a few of the rarer ingredients. Make your way to the minotaur gate. Updates in area of /waypoint -708, -470, 79 Hunt the minotaurs for their ichor. Kill minotaurs around the fort until you have looted seven 'Diseased Ichor'. Harvest the dead feathered grass, growing near the minotaurs. These are ground spawns (they look like bright blue collectibles) around / in the minotaur fort.
