Has anyone tried moving XP from a ranged item to a ranged item? (slot for slot in other words)
Xp might be keyed to the slot much like aug's are set for certain pieces of gear & slots...
Just a thought

tried with Blade of the newborn Vampire and the shattered blade, and said it wasn't compatible.

This is not a text, this is an explanation of how to use new player interface, the machine he is standing on. The lever is immediately in front of him, the big switch. It is used to transfer xp from one evolving weapon to another. I have not gotten hold of any evolving weapons yet, so I do not know if there is any additional benefit to doing so

the way i see it is you have an evolving item that is a upgrade at the beginning stage for you...but you have another evolving item that isn't at it's beginning stage, but will be when it's finished.
What you could do is transfer the exp from the one that is already an upgrade to the one that isn't yet - and work it up until it's an upgrade and then equip it, so I find that quite handy personally :)

The mention of "A lot of energy lost" probably means that you will lose a chunk of the exp from the source gear when transfering the exp to the new evolving item.
Jup, but you will see the resulting target item before you do the transfer so you can decide if it's worth the loss or not.
I haven't gotten any evolvings so far so I can't say how much loss you'll have.

As of tonight 13 Nov 05, I have tried to transfer exp from my Blade of the Newborn Vampire and my Wrap of the Pantheon to my Black Leather Pantaloons. It doesn't work for some reason. Tells me that it can't x-fer the exp not compatable. Both the Blade and the Wrap have 6 lvl's of evolution and the Pantaloons only have 3...may have something to do with it but not sure. Anyone have any insight?
