The "a spirit" spawns just west of the western most of the 2 tress just south of the village. I believe the "a spirit" has a place holder of "a valley spritling". I saw 2 of them spawn in the same spot that the "a spirit" spawns. A valley spiritling wanders away after it spawns. Spawn time seemed to be 20-25 minutes.
When I gave the Grimy Lance to the "a spirit" and got the idol. I got several lines of dialogue but no erudite appeared like I expected. I then went up to the village where a mage used malaise to pull Disciple out of the village for me. After killing him I went into the village and found the ghost where Disciple had been, gave it the Idol and got my Soulfiend Lance.
Overall, an entertaining quest that didn't consume a silly amount of time.
I wish there were more quest like this.

Just to the south of the Kejekan Village in a small grassy area with two trees spawns a spirit. This spirit is a level 1 shadow knight type creature that is on Paineel Heretics faction.
You say, 'Hail, a spirit' a spirit flares brightly as you attempt to speak with it. By listening very closely you're brely able to make out it's frantic whispering. It keep refering to one of the Kejekans, one that apparently slew him as he attempted to cleanse the land of them. It wants nothing more than to destroy who killed him, but it cannot in this [form]. You say, 'What form?' a spirit flares brightly again as it explains there isn't enough time for it to explain. It then begins to whisper again, telling you that it commands you the aid it in it's revenge. You make out, through the barely audible whispering, that if you do help it, you will be rewarded. You say, 'I will help you get revenge' a spirit whispers that he will need to become whole again before he can defeat the fool animal that slew him. The spirit admits to one mistake before coming here to wipe the Kejekans. In an earlier campaign, he lost a very powerful weapon. That weapon would enable him to take on a form likened to his former self. If you return this weapon to the spirit, and then help him to defeat his enemy, the reward will be yours. You say, 'What earlier campaign?' a spirit seems hesitant to go into details and reacts harshly when asked further. He does say that he went to enlist an army of lesser beings to do it's bidding, but they refused. The spirit scoffs and says they believed the lord they shared favored them more than it. It goes on, explaining their utter foolishness and eventual demise in great detail. Go to the Temple of Cazic Thule and slay A Lizard Ritualist that spawns on the small pyramid in the maze. Loot the Grimy Lance - 17dmg, 48dly 2hand piercer with a blank effect. When identified, the result is Item Lore: you sense a hiddin power within. Return to Stonebrunt and give the Grimy Lance to a spirit. a spirit says 'Yes, the lance!' and begins to glow as it draws power from the lance, which now floats in mid air next to the spirit. The form of the spirit expands and takes on a humanoid shape. The air itself then seems to condense about the spirit as bits of matter appear within the glowing form. The bits soon take the shape of bones and ropes of muscle. Within minutes, an emaciated Erudite male stands before you. Despite his frail appearance, he stands upright and strong, a fierce red light burning in his eyes. You gain experience!! Receive an Idol of Fear. Ridossan the Unliving spawns, will run up to the village, and then despawns. At this point, kill Disciple Okarote inside the Kejekan Village. When she dies, the ghost of Ridossan will spawn and say that he is not long for this world and he wants to reward the one who helped him reap his revenge and asks for the totem that he has given you. The ghost will despawn in roughly one minute so move quickly. Give Ghost of Ridossan the Idol of Fear. Ghost of Ridossan takes the idol into his spectral hand and shoves the lance into your arms. After letting go of the lance, the ghost immediately begins to fade away. Before it is gone completely, it looks into your eyes and says, 'Suffer.' Ghost of Ridossan is only up for 60 seconds before despawning. If you do not hand in your Idol of Fear in time, all you have to do is kill Disciple Okarote again (respawn time 13 min) to spawn another ghost. Your faction standing with Heretics has been adjusted by +?. Your faction standing with Deepwater Knights has been adjusted by -10. Your faction standing with Gate Callers has been adjusted by -10. anyone know what the spawn time is on the spirit and if the ghost is a trackable mob? I have been sitting in the grassy spot between the two trees for a while and no spirit has spawned.
also, its a lizard ritualist, not spiritist...or at least the ritualist is the guy I got the lance from...

How can i do this quest if im Kos to the cat ppl. I gave the grimy lance to a spirit and followed him to town, I was mobbed and was kilt before I was able to get to the diciple. Even if i pull it outta town and kill it. The spirit will spawn where the diciple was and ill be mobbed again. Even if i have someone pull the diciple outta town. The scroll is no drop so I have to go and give the scroll to the spirit when it spawns. Any ideas?

I just tried to do the quest today, After giving warnings for people to leave him alone, they still stayed at the cat city, Riddosan aggroed all of em , he killed them all but all this messed him up because he left. I tried to kill the okarate or whatever his name is and got ganged by the whole town. I was a level 35 sk at that moment and lost my level. The level required for this quest is wrong. you need to be higher then 35 if doing the quest without a higher level friend helping you.

I targetted the disciple, went out of town and casted darkness and he came without any other cats... my lev 44 necro pet soloed him so he isnt that tough.. when i got back some peeps killed the ghost :(

What faction do you need to have with the heretics to do this? only indifferent? or do you have to be higher than that? one guy said Aimiable, is that one faction level higer than indiff? ive never taken notice, thanks

When I gave the spirit the Grimy Lance it despawned and respawned as Ridossan the Unliving. He then summoned a pet and ran to the village to waste some Kerrans. Unfortunatly he was intercepted by a PC monk before he got to the gates so i didn't see how he would have done.

Funny, the same happend to me. Ridossan summoned a pet, shouted something about his revenge and ran straight into Okarotes hut. I was waiting there just to see him getting followed by a... PC monk (lvl 55), who kept attacking him until i asked him to stop. He feigned and Ridossan had forgotten about his mission. Either that, or it is his normal behaviour: Run into the hut of his arch-enemy, wait for some time(perhaps for the PC to attack Okarote? I did not dare to, with all the cats surrounding him and me being a mere lvl 35) and then mutter: 'He has escaped' and despawn. I'm afraid that the intercepting monk messed up the script and Ridosan would take on Okarote and one must help him to get the reward... Can anyone confirm that?

One of the early reports on this quest had said the idol you get for turning in the lance was No-Rent - so didn't have the guts to try turning it in to see if Riddosan would take out the cat for me.
Look at where the Disciple is,there seem to be rather a large number of other cats around him. I assume they will all aggro if I attack the disciple, sooo... I haven't quite figured out how to do this without potentially clearing a good chunk of the Kejek fort - or dying.

What level is Disciple Okaroate? I have a grimy lance sitting in the bank since a friend brought it back with him from when he went to Cazic Thule looking for Ravenscale pieces. I am level 30, and was wondering if I'll need any help with this fellow.

This guy might start at level 1 but he killed me with a Harm touch for over 500. This was after I heard him say the reward comement. I'm guessing that when the lance is returned to him he changes. Since he IS on heretic faction everyone who is KOS to heretics are in danger at this time. It would be nice if you warn everyone before doing this part of the quest.

When I did the quest, it appeared that the spirit despawned the instant that I handed him the grimy lance. It seems odd, however not impossible that he would hang around long enough to kill you.

i found a grimy 2 handed sword on Ragnorog a named kobold in Stone brunt if you give him that weapon i wonder if you get a 2 hander? other than that i couldnt find a use for the sword, it was all in all crappy

And I made one error that I can see off hand. I must have the word spirit stuck in my brain when I wrote it cause I said the grimy lance dropped off of a Lizard Spiritualist. Actually, it drops off of the Lizard Ritualist... same spawn location as described. 1-3 hour spawn on him.
For all you SK out there that wanna go check on him, mem sense the dead and cast it when you enter the zone. His pet will come up on track. He harm touched me for 341dmg when i killed him one time, and 321 another. I'm guessing he can range from 31-35.

I found the grimy lance in a store for 1 cp when I first made my SK, and my bard has it and happens to be close to Stonebrunt now. To bad I'm still KoS to the heretic's even after a couple days fighting in Warrens. Oh well, just need to kill a lot more kobold's and I can go get this nice lance.
i found A spirit under a tree near the kejekan village. the text that reveals is identety is not braketed but you have to ask what reward. then he will tell you he is the spirit of riddosan. i questioned him for a while seeing he was being dificult i killed the litle thing hoping to earn good faction whit the kejek, but that dint hapen hes got no faction hit.

if you have at least amiable faction with the spirit which is the heretic faction find the grimy lance in Cazic thule which drops off of the lizardman ritualist there and hand the lance to the spirit and watch what happens hehe.
