I spent a lot of time hunting here (and doing assorted Tasks from TMs in Overthere) when this first became a hotzone. During all that time, I never saw ANY mobs come into aggro range of the southern wall. The mottled wyvern roams that path, but it's not KoS (it's actually ally to most of my characters, as is the other new mob, an Ancient Wurm at the orb near the OT zone). I figured that people were used to running along that wall to get from OT to Burning Woods, and the mottled wyvern was made non-KoS so it wouldn't ***** up that run.
But when I went back this week -- the first time I've spent in Skyfire since TSS came out -- I found all sorts of mobs were pathing all the way to the south wall before turning around and heading north again. I even ran across one chromadrac that was flying west ALONG the wall.
So if you're used to running along the south wall, or worse yet you were planning to fight the mottled wyvern there and figured you were safe from adds, watch out!
the name had (protector) in it. conned dk/blu to lvl 61. dropped a Blackened Lava Stone. type 7 augmentation. strike of ykesha, range/primary/secondary.
I ran into a mottled wyvern today going through zone and it was blue to me at level 56. Also its consider was aprehensive to me unlike the other wyverns which con ready to attack.
They still spawn, but the elder wyverns are placeholders, so you have to kill those. Specifically, it seems the ones that spawn at the entrance to Veeshan's Peak are the PH, but they and the guardian wurms eventually move away from there, which is why (a) you often find guardians roaming the zone and (b) killing elder wyverns anywhere in the zone may help spawn guardians. (It's possible that guardians can spawn in other spots also, but I've never seen it happen.)
They still spawn. I was clearing out elder wyverns near the Veeshan's Peak entrance trying to spawn the ancient wyverns. They seem to spawn at random there. Duoed one with a 70 rogue (mix of Vex Thal and elemental gear) and a 60 shammy bot (mostly Bazaar goodies). Used just shammy buffs + spells, plus the shammy had KEI. Relatively easy fight, especially once slowed.
We have been fighting out here a couple of days now, 46 CLR and 46 RNG, and have figured out that the mobs here are immune to fire-based spells, they resist every single one :) So, adjust your spells accordingly. Hope this helps :)
<< Rithnok The Tormented >> has Been sighted instant spawning after a palidan at the right point in the epic 1.5 turns in << Seal of Enic >> to << Dry Sapara >>. Does anyone know how to get these particular mobs to spawn, or are they just random mobs, been looking for them to do a task, wnadering all over SF is not my idea of a fun quick task...
New mob up next to dragon statue in the North East Corner. Not sure what she is for, epic 2.0 maybe? after hail she replied "I'm afraid I can't speak right now, <name>. I'm waiting for someone very important to arrive."
Just finished a minor task in SF today and wanted to share a little info on where to find a couple of the task NPCs for those of you who don't have tracking. BYLELLA VOON is at the dragon statue platform just a bit to the left (south?) of the entrance tunnel to OT. WARDER CECILIA (sp?) is at the platform to the right (north?) quite a ways down from the same tunnel. Hope this helps anyone looking to do some of the new OoW tasks. (Sorry, forgot to write down exact locations for these NPCs. If I happen to return, I'll try and remember to update this post with that info.)
You know i sit here reading everyones post one the revamping of VP and everything. I listen to the complaints about how sony took a good zone and screwed it. And i listen to how people say sony just screws everything thing up. Well guess what if u dont like it dont go to the zone, if you you dont like that QUIT playing then. All these people do is maon and grown hell its a game guys chill out. Hell if you hate it goto WoW or hell even DAoC hell something. But gezz all yall know how to do it cry about stuff and guess what probally to the surprise of many it accomplishes nothing.
New mob 6 of them chained around Named Drake part of the New VP key.... not immune to snare but hit hard with 1200 ac and CA/CS3 hardest hit was 883 lowest was 172. On a Druid though Blue mob, appears to be chained to spawn point and they are social.
We managed to spawn Suled Dar's Shade by clicking all the orbs simultaneously. Red con, KOS, see invis, permarooted seethrough dragon. Casts Infinite Mass(http://lucy.allakhazam.com/spell.html?id=4125&source=Live) and Shock Breath(http://lucy.allakhazam.com/spell.html?id=5159&source=Live) Melees for around 2.4k and AE ramps.
Suled Dar's Shade says "You have awakened something which you should not have, fool!" You have been slain by Suled Dar's Shade.
When he spawns, a zonewide shout is seen. Some yellow message about a light on the mountain range you're on. and some guy shouts about the orbs collapsing and he's not sure what's going to happen.
We're not sure yet, but we think you might have to be in melee range to cast spells.
He sees through SoS too =( have fun with the CRs, we are.
A group of us went to SF last night to farm cleric shards and to try to get Eldrig to pop for my bard. We couldn't see any mobs, but the bard's track has all sorts. We discovered that due to a bug all the mobs were stuck in the lava rivers and lakes. The only way we could pull them as to walk over the surface and hope they'd aggro you. We managed to make this work for a while but the zone is basically fubar.
I charmed this tonight, had a 60 druid tracking, when we were in the right quadrant we had her on track. We killed the named spawns: Guardian of Felia, Black Scar, Faerie of Dismay, A Soul Devourer, and A Wurm Spirit, and she popped. Several others spawned, so we had to Succor to OT zone in, but she was still spawned when we got to the correct quadrant, charmed with ease, did hand in, and got return. 62 chanter, 60 druid, and pets. She popped in NE quad for us.
It appears there maybe some cycles in this zone. Obviously you need track but due to possible adds and large amount of HP's on wurms and such i have not figured it all out yet.
