Diseased Bone Marrow
Skeleton PartsFor sure as of about 10 minutes ago I have seen a brittle skeleton spawn, killed it, and collected a diseased bone marrow. .
Location: p1700, p890
It spawned at 10pm Game time
There were 2 up within 5 meters but I physically saw this one spawn at this location.

Well, it still helps to have a tracker to locate them, then simply sit down, as they are very aggressive they will attack as they did my 58th ranger!
also have 2 locs where they may or may not spawn, depending on how random the spawn is...
loc is 1540, -178 and 913, 216 (in steamfont mountains)
also be adviced that the mobs make maximum damage when they hit players sitting down!
This was tried on the Mith Marr server and works every time, happy hunting

Loc p911 n39 is where I find a small camp of gnome skeletons. Started to kill them all and had 2 brittle skeletons pop in less than 5 minutes. Got diseased bone marrow off second one.
There is indeed a placeholder for these critters, I killed all Gnome skellies at one of the mentioned spawnpoints and soon enough a brittle skeleton popped nearby, and I was all alone in the zone, so there should be no reason to despair on this topic no more :-)

I found these spawning in and around the small hills just north of the Windmills. They seemed to spawn about every 10 to 20 minutes. It seems as though they were random spawns. There did not seem to be any placeholder.
Had to kill 5 of them before I could get the Marrow to drop.

finally found the sweet spot, loc 1108, -66, kill all skeletons and it seems they spawn, of course thats what aananla said, just thought id drop a good loc

Its called everquest because the newbie quest take you to level 65 to beat. I've been looking for this brittle pain in the *** for far too long now.

i have found that by killing other skeletons it seems to make the brittle's spawn but i've killed about 16 of them and have yet to get a diseased marrow.

These are hard to find. I got lucky and found two earlier. I would look to the right of the zone to lesser Fey just past the Mino slave camp. There will be a Kobold camp there and lots of Rats, Krag warriors, and mountain lions. This is where I found mine.

I have located these creatures all over the map. And there seem to be about 2 or 3 up most times. The best bet is to ask a druid or ranger to track them for you. I did this with my druid for a low level who needed for their quest. Took 3 kills to get the item he needed. Found one at the windmills, one near the zone into LFay, and one south of the windmills, in a hidden little cove. So, they seem to spawn anywhere. Good luck, and sorry this is not more helpful.

The Brittle Skeletons also spawn near the Kobald camp in the far North West of Steamfont, usually in pairs. Brownies have been seen there as well. The camp is #1 on the eqatlas map.
They drop the Diseased Bone Marrow needed in the Edritch Collective quest armor for WIZ ENC and MAG.

ive been doing the eldritch initiate armor quests and need the diseased bone marrow. so far in all my wanderings of steamfont ive only come across one of these brittle skellies and it was by the windmills. i was just about to kill it and got KSed by a stupid NPC also at WMs. needless to say since this was the only brittle id seen after many hours in steam i was furious. grrrrrr. hey verant, ive done the DE newbie caster armor quest now im doingh gnome, why oh why did u make the gnome one soooooo much harder than the DE one? this isnt the only item thats been a super pain in the a$$.

The Dark Elf one I found thae hardest of all. It took me to level 13 to find all the different calcified bones. The Dwarven Rogue took me to 12 and here I am level 13 with still the diseased bone marrow and runaway clockwork motor and 2 cloth items to get.
Easiest is Barbarian Warrior in Halas!! Completed when I was level 6 or 7. But other than Halas they are all about the same.
