for all the those in the now and future who wish to do his quest but have ruined your faction by helping a friend, accidentally killing them to early ect.. i have the answer to your problem... Ornate Velium Pendant .. i had killed them to early myself and spent the day trying different ways to get him to talk to me. then i remembered about the Alliance clickie and ran off and got one. IT WORKS.. i was able to start a fresh quest :) and even repeated the first part till i had max faction in case i decide i would like to do it again for more cloaks :) enjoy

If you do the first part of his quest over and over.. you can max faction eventually so killing him won't stop you from redoing the quest over and over for another cloak.. long as you keep redoing that one part..
haha so basically if you assist in killing these fools you can never do the cloak of truth quest? i have assisted in killing them for the quest for a shaman friend of mine and now i want to do the quest but they wont talk with me. gravy
Faction hits are there but not that bad.
I just did this quest tonight, started as indiff cons to me (this guy and Millar). I killed them both on my own...no hard thing for a 65 druid...I had expected Arbogast to CH, but he succumbed to my dot rot.
Anyway, after a couple of hours, they are back and con apprehensive to me, so i may give the cloak to an alt and run the quest again.

Are Arbogast and Miller campable? Do you know his respawn rate? Hit points? Resists? Looks like a high powered group for a lvl 49 mob. Did you notice your xp?

Arbogast was white to my level 49 Paladin. His only faction is "The Truth" which gets worse when you kill him. The mace he carries is No Drop but not No Rent. (There's a prior post in the quest area that states that it's No Rent.)
I was assisting a 58 Beastlord on this quest. We had a 60 Necro and 60 Ranger, plus a couple of other people who joined in as the fight started. Was an easy kill (as was Miller).
