I did this at lvl 70 (I know, I know, a little behind on the epic... lol), so it was pretty easy to clear the zone and keep it that way. These are the places a Crazed Goblin spawned for me (all are approximations):
8, -65, -40 (sw corner of first gobbie room) 95, -145, -40 (room right of first room) 7, -280, -70 (head down from 1st room and turn left)
Took me quite a few cycles to get the drop... stopeed counting at 11. Wasn't so bad though, as I could clear fast and then watch a movie while waiting for repops. All in all was a nice little trip to an old hunting ground... even got my alcohol tolerance up from all the mead and ale that dropped =)
I camped HHK basement for two days straight..6 hrs a day and only 1 scroll dropped. Just so happens another Pally picked it up. This must be a very rare drop. A full group for two days have cleared the whole basement at least 20 times a day and only one drop. WTF?
I think that this scroll is Ultra Rare. I have camped this monster for 4 days and have NOT seen the scroll or even heard of anyone seeing this scroll. I know that I could go to Guk and get this sword off of a monster there, but that is to easy, I rather do the quest but i can see now that I might be here in HK for a few more weeks or longer.
OK, for the record. I have camped various rooms in High Keep for weeks on end with various characters. I can say that the scroll while not a common drop is certainly not that rare of a drop. Often we had 5 or 6 scrolls drop in a 4 or 5 hour session.
I have camped the Lookout Room in High Keep for about 10hours with our group and i've seen the scroll 3times. So it aint that rare. We were all lvl 19-22, and i think the drop rate with the crazed goblins was something about 1 scroll/6 kills. Well, i have mine and good luck finding yours

Ok, ive got all the items apart from the scroll. The blade of nobility is fron crazed goblins in BB. They are about 30-35. The scroll, i think, drops off goblins in Highkeep, ive not done it yet so im not sure.

are these things suppost to drop amsatfs scroll because camped down there for almost 6 hours and not a single scroll droppeed. am i looking in the right place for the scroll cause i already got the blade from a crazed gobby in BB and i thought i was suppost to get amstafs scroll from a crazed gobby in high keep.
Okay, trying to do the GB quest. I have camped the spawn marked #6 on EQatlas for BBM, but have yet to recieve the Blade of Nobility. Is this thing super rare? I've camped it for about 3hours now (One 1 1/2 session, another hour session, and then a half hour session) but still nada. Is this quest still up on Stormhammer (my current server) or did they take it down there. Any ideas?
Gonna try camping it tonight. Pretty good XP for a 27th paly and 27th ench. Nice loot/plat too

It took me a better part of 5 hours camping the ruins til I finally got the blade. It seems to be a hit or miss thing, some days they drop a ton, others only a few. My strategy would be to sit at the camp for an hour or two, and if doesnt drop it, come back the next day and try again.
ok im a lvl 26 pally thanks to these gobbys and a lvl 55 druid <ure awesome deseree> the spawn rate is a about 10 mins on each the most any of them will hit for is about 61 points of dmg sometimes IF they are luck 61 61 on a double attack and they still drop the blade of nobility....oh and any of the gobbys can drop the blade fyi

I found this on a "goblin" ( no crazed in name) in BB there were two of them near a set of stone if youre facing Kaladim it is to the right a ways. they were blue to me at 33 monk
I camped this place with me(a lvl 30 pally), a lvl 40 druid, and my friend who is a lvl 20 pally. We stayed there for a good 4-5 hours with no sign of the Blade Of Nobility dropping. Will somoene please explain how this is possible when the last time i camped there it droped after about the 5 kill. Please respond
That would be because blade of nobility drops in the graveyard in Butcher, Amstaffs scroll drops off of crazed goblins here. All sites except Najena are crazed goblin drops.
The reason is that it's not a guaranteed rate. Sometimes it drops twice in a row, sometimes it doesn't drop in several hours (as was your case) Just keep trying.
Again, does anyone know the LOC (or map # from EQ Atlas map) where these guys spawn?? I have a group going in tonight, 6pm central time, all trying to complete our last item for Ghoulbane- we could really use this information ;) Please post your answer here, and send me a quick email at karmana1@hotmail.com - note, if anyone cares to come along (we are levels 21-23, Druid, Pally, Warrior, and Cleric), we always accept help ;) We're on Povar, just look for Aeileron, or ANY Steel Dragon guild member ;)
The Butcherblock Crazed Goblins are level 28 to 30. They all con blue to a level 35, and the first high green appear at level 36. How do I know that? Well, I camped them for hours and they got me out of hell level 35. Things you might want to know:
- The crazed goblins in Butcherblock have a camp in a previously empty valley, to the right side when you come from crossroads towards Kaladim.
- They are the IDEAL camp for a level 34 or 35 druid to learn quad kiting. There are exactly 4 of them, you can Ensnare them one by one without aggroing the others, there are no casters, and there is no possibility of adds. At level 35 I could quadkite them without medding in the middle and still had a blue bubble of mana left at the end.
- They have an uncommon drop of a Blade of Nobility, quest item for the Sword of Nobility quest, which results in a Ghoulbane. Their common drops include FS daggers, small ringmail mantles and boots, and relatively worthless Runnyeye Warbeads. (Well, you could turn them in for the quest, but at level 35 the xp and reward aren't that great.) They also drop up to 4 PP. This is all not spectacular, but if you camp them for some hours, the money adds up.
One final comment: As much as I'm happy about the crazed goblins having been added to Butcherblock and HHK, I am unhappy about the crazed ghoul and skeleton that have been added for the other two quest parts to Unrest and Najena. It's just not a good idea to add level 30 mobs at the very entrance of dungeons which are frequented by characters in their teens.
Crazed Goblin camp was nerfed last patch. There are now only 3 of them, and the spawn time was increased from 8 minutes to 16 minutes. They no longer pp either, just a few gold and an occasional pair of boots or fine steel dagger. It's still a good camp, but the amount of experience available is now 37.5% of what it used to be.
I bet to differ....they do still drop pp. If only 3-4 at best. Ringmail boots & mantles & the fine steel daggers. Found these guys purely by accident. Was leavin' Kaladim & decided to see what was on radar and low & behold.....something blue to me!(35 at the time) I thought, hmmm, let's check it out. Was early AM when I started, hardly anyone on, so I ended up camping these fellas most of the day. The Blade of Nobilily has dropped numerous times for me, but I figure it's random. dropped twice in an hour one time, then again I've been there for hours without seeing it. In a couple days of goofing off there I made 3-400pp between the pp they drop & selling the loot they drop. BTW...I'm a Druid. I have no need of the blade, but have made many a pally happy when they answer my shout:
Blade of Nobility...no drop...pally quest item...come get it!!!!
You're right, Stoutfoot : I, also, don't understand why VI designers are adding some high level mobs in lowbie areas. They did the same in LFay and Kithikor Forest and now, the two zones are nearly always desert. At least, hunting in Kith can be safe if you stay away from the dangerous part and if you're wise enough to leave the place when night is coming. But in LFay, they added the dreaded roaming brownie scouts, that basically KOS everyone with pleasure and in record time. Very poor design choices if you ask me...
My 22 Pally almost got killed by one that conned red to me in BB I got him down to half life before I had to Use LOH... and it seemed he kept healing also... Barely escaped. What LVL are these things any way??
