Lets not get started on guides. They are the most misinformed players in the entire game. Having no knowledge of issues that everyone else is fully informed of for weeks on end. Playing stupid so they may go and finish farming what ever they are farming ATM. I say BAH to Guides. Have had very little luck at all with guides, however have had better luck going directly to the GM. After all guides are pretty much useless, since they have to clear their actions with a GM anyway.

DO NOT use wolf form near the pirates. I made the mistake, and Rendap was kind enough to backstab me for 500+ hps. I used Frankel The Pirate in North Ro as a "barometer" -- he was not KOS to wolf form. While I feel this was poor game design, and was rudely treated by a guide for saying so, there's nothing I can do but issue this warning to fellow druids. Also, be careful around the Iceclad Portal, especially if you are in your mid 30s as I am. Monsters there are very aggressive and are not easily kited. I was nearly killed and had to gate out the instant I ported in. I'm not saying that guides aren't helpful -- in many cases they are. The particular guide was unfortunately rude and argumentative.
Out of the 9 guides i have talked to only 1 wasnt a total POS. And me being a noob at the the time when i didnt know better....(running from surefall to freeport at lvl 6) I found the bug on the highpass trail. I got cussed out becouse he didnt want to do his damned job!! I found out after i had logged off and came back from work talking to some pplz who have been playing for 2 years that it was an unfixed verant bug. and that is just one example of the guide/gm program on Xegony
