My lvl 15 dwarf paladin on the Antonius Bayle server, came across "A Priate Runner's Skiff" in North Ro near the beach zone in to South Ro. Only coned it long enough to id it, than it vanished.
(Added the Antonius Server to note.)

I once grouped with a boat and ported it to WC. Lots of pissed druids, still took you to FV though =)

Never have i enjoyed so much reading about a Mob? Can this warrior duel wield or does he only have one oar? I have also heard that if you are successful in killing him he drops anchor. That of course is his rare drop>

I know for a fact that people can attack boats because as a lvl 95 Gnome monk I have a pair of gloves that when proced summon a boat as my pet. It hits hard too I would say it quads for 70,000hp I have used my pet boat to solo every dragon in Norrath including the Sleeper and I have dueled everyone of my guild mates at the same time and never lost. The sleeper is not hard to kill I just casted heat blood on it then sent in the boat and meditated for a while. It was easy. Then when a GM's came to confiscate my loot I had the boat kill them too. I like my pet boat I call it woody.

Why do people always put stupid comments when a vessel is listed?

You'd have to be really stupid to think you could 'kill' a hunk of wood. The listing and the picture are here so you know what to look for your first time into the zone.

You cannot cast spells targeted at the boat.

You can also BEG from the boat. =)
You can Pick Pockets, if you'd like.
Also, it IS possible to fish from boats, but you have to be a master of the secret art of "Trolling". I'm not sure why I call it that, as I am an Ogre and it was taught to be my the Magician Boojangles, a most curious gnomie, but that's what we call it.
<OH, FINE! I finally reveal my secret : move to edge of boat, fish, move, fish, move fish, etc. So long as you JUST stop moving before you <click>, you'll be ok (just don't fall off!). I'm pretty damn sure I'm the only one who knows about this up till now. =)

yuo ca also somtims fish off a boat if you start before the boat moves and don't move. only works sometimes though, could just be a bug.

Um...all boats, ships, skiffs, and other vessels are targetable and con-able. That doesn't make them "monsters". I remember as a young druid targetting Siren's Bane wondering if I could actually sow the thing to make it move faster....

Last time I checked (last night as a matter of fact) you cannot con a boat the message is something like "You cannot considder that"
Monks can Instill Doubt on one. I've never actually tried to see if I could get one off on it, but have had a boat targeted a few times while practicing ID, just wasn't close enough to see if it had any effect. I doubt it would do anything to the boat.
