Icetooth's Claws
Icetooth's Pelti had this wepon from bout lvl 15 to 23(yes someone did give it to me) and one fine day as i was heading to qeynos fully loaded w/ items to sell and copper i should have distroyed. I put the claw in a summoned bag that was given to me by a member of the group i was just in. no more then 3 min after I did so and was running tru WK the prexus server goes down. shure as warriors run slow, the bags were gone w/ the claw in it. I did peti for a week after, But no reply other then the GM is off for the day. At the time I didnt know how good a item it was so I gave up on getting it back....
well it was nice to have had it at all at that lv..
and lesson learned!!!!
oh yea i was use'n a criz sword for the other hand and luckly still have it to play w/

teh claws are really 11/29
I found him wandering far from caves today. Picked him up on tracking, expecting to be led to caves. I followed him for awhile to see if someone had pulled him out of caves. Nope...he was actually a wandering spawn...he walked the same path all over GD about 4 times before I killed him. He always stopped for about a minute near a tree close to thurgadin zone(to the west on a hill near some tizmaks). I'm guessing that was where he spawned...I have the loc if anyone is interested. It's nice being a ranger sometimes because he probably spawns there a lot and no one ever finds him.
He conned blue to me at 40, and was VERY tough...easily hill giant-tough if not moreso. Hits in the low 100s-110s with a TON of hitpoints. I barely beat him, but for great cleric buffs. He can be feared by panic animal so have that memmed if you're a ranger. He has a high MR so expect to be resisted a lot. Expect to root and med to heal yourself too...if you can avoid melee use your bow...waste all your arrows if you have to, claws are worth it...buy more in thurgadin.
Dropped the claws. Selling them on E Marr if someone wants.

I've been sitting here all day quad kiting these kodiaks and no Icetooth! Could I be in the wrong spot? GD in a cave filled with kodiaks with two sections...Go figure!

oh and BTW does he drop the claws every time?
Back when i faught there, i killed him maybe 8 times, & never once saw that pelt drop. I still want one ten levels later...

No sometimes it is the pelt but usally it is the claws out of 3 kils today we got the claws twice

How many Kodiaks would i have to kill to make him spawn roughly? Could I solo him as a lvl 42 untwinked ranger? Please post any info

My grp was camping in cave 2....slaughtered loads of kodiaks non-stop. He spawned twice in 2hrs...rolled a 73 and an 80...still couldnt get the damn claws. =(

we took him on 3 times in just over an hour today with a total of about 45 kills (maybe less) we were inside the 3rd cave at the big turn (you will see many kods in front of you here) i have only once seen him outside the caves but that means he can be found there. all told i have been involved in his death 7 times now (got the claws finaly on the last one)

I'm wondering if verant got the drops kinda confused on this mob. The claws are a far superior drop and they rival yk's in combat, whereas the pelt is rather crap for the level that's required to get it.

actually the pelt is not that bad, i wear it at lvl 34 instead of cloak of the icebear, and i very not twinked, and yes i was in a group and killed for it

THe Icetooth's pelt is not large races only, it is large and medium races... Just an FYI

Nope, killing Icetooth does not rend a faction hit. Same as killing the regular kodiaks.
