This guy is easy to spawn. Slaughter either of the two sets of Kodiak caves near Velketor's entrance and any roamers on the hillside. He can spawn from any of them. Avoid the cave with the Coldain Smuggler.

I was leaving Velk's and got attacked by a kodiak so I decided to wipe them all out just because I could. When I got to Icetooth he went down just as fast as the others except he hit a wee bit harder.
Funny thing was that as soon as he was dead and I was looting the body, I'm getting attacked again. Look up and it's Icetooth again. Kill the second one, looting corpse and bingo, there he is again. That's 3 pops in a row. The third one, and all his pals, I just rooted and headed on my way.
Each time he dropped the claws btw, but no pelt.

Just took him down outside the cave with my LEVEL 29 Druid!!! Nothing except Creeping Crud stuck, so he must be weak to disease. Got the claws. Hope that helps. I kited him through about 8 applications of Crud though, so dont try this at home kiddies?

lv 47 ranger-- fletcher on ab - got a port to GD and was running along and saw him on tracking, killed him NP. got the pelt, but is it really worth 600pp. sounds kinda high
No This item is not a result of a quest and on Stromm a newer server then your question it's Max price is 300pp. The Best drop from Early level toons may well still be the Iksar berserker Club in Kurn's Tower Sells for 1k on Stromm, but like I said it's very expensive as it's bazaar market has only just begun to flood.

I don't get it either, Orc fang earrings are 3 ac 3 str and 15hp, and they only cost 70pp. With the pelt you get 2 extra ac and 1 extra str, but it costs 600pp?
Just Wondering why does everyone wanna kill this thing if Icetooths pelt is so rare, i bought mine in EC for 50pp, and if you are high enough kill Icetooth 50pp should be easy =) I mean, I camp Garanel Rucksif in Unrest and get Jagged bands/DWB/$$

I think the guy you bought it from didnt know how much it was worth. Try clicking on the pelt to see how much it goes for (I know that these prices are not exact but it give a good idea), before you bash people for camping a 50pp item. It goes for about 600pp and I'd sure camp him for 600pp.

I was grouped with a 34 cleric and 2 38 tanks. Im a 40 tank btw. We killed Icetooth 3 times in 1 1/2 hours. In all we only had 2 claws and a pelt.

from what i have heard the icetooth pelt is really, really rare. Well i got it yesternight when i was hunting at the gave for 5-10 hours straight i guess i got pretty lucky so we knowhe drops it.

Ok here is how we did it eons ago. The cave we hunted at was the one right below Velks. To get to Icetooth you need to fight your way into the caves. There will always be one bear right at the entrance. A second bear will be just a bit futher in. You can pull him out and kill him off as well. The puller will have to go a bit futher in for each bear. After about 3 pulls have to group go in and set up just past where the second bear was spawning. Here casters can med up for a bit. Now this gets tricky depending on how strong your group is. The puller will have to pull from around the bend in the cave and sometimes he will come back with two. Also by this time the bear at the entrance has respawned but he will just sit there. Also the second bear will repop. Just stay next to the wall. After the puller can't see anymore bears around the bend have everyone move up to where there is a intersection just past the bend. Here is where you set up camp. The path to the right will lead you to Icetooth. But you need to stay put and clear the rooms that lead to the left and straight. Also you will get roamers here too. After doing this have the group move a little ways down the right path. Have the puller go into the room with Ictooth and harmany or mezz Icetooth. There maybe three other bears in this room with him and we were able to pull one at a time with a bow. Now you can pull Icetooth or have eveyone just move up to the room. He sits back in ther aways and will not agro if your not in the room too far. Have your tank pull to keep agro cause Icetooth will waste a caster quick. Loot and now you can either fight your way back out or cast invis on everyone and walk out.

This is Icetooth bro....you're thinking of Bloodmaw and aye...he/she has 32k HPs..and drops nottin I heard...no fun at all.

I`m wondering how much icetooth claws are worth.i gave the one i won to the rogue in the group,she seemed to want it very much.i myself thought the stats looked rather pitiful.

I've killed Icetooth with a group now like 20 times, all in all 18 sets of claws and the last 2 kills each rendered the pelt. he spawns randomly in kodiak 3. good luck all

Last night I lead a group of friends over to the cave in search of the claws.
We spent about an hour dropping Kodiaks waiting for Sir Icetooth to appear. Finally he showed up and our puller (who also happens to be my roomate) took a shot at him then ran back over to our group (mind you this was in the back of the cave and our group was blocking the only way out). So we stood there...waiting...waiting. I check track, find him on it and start to try and locate him but somehow he is not around.
After about a minute he disappears from track. Grrr! /petition
So we go back to killin the Kodiaks and sevearl minutes later he reappears on track. I start to follow (leaving the group behind) and track takes me outside the cave and all the way to the OTHER side of the zone where I run into the zone wall but track reports he is still there. Then my roomate says "here he is." He is back at the group. I ran back but did not make it in time to get the exp but I did get the claws.
We stayed for about another 20 minutes and got him a second time which he dropped the cloak.
I am glad to have these since I needed a good, non-procing weapon for aggro control.

There's a lot of pathing bugs in Velious where a monster won't go AROUND a wall, but will walk right INTO it. There's a corner in Kod3 (probably right by the place you were pulling to) that monsters get stuck in. Instead of going AROUND the corner, they'll go into it and get stuck.

The claws are 11/29, and I watched him spawn and killed him on the mountain over the North side of Wurm cave towards Thurgadin... he may not always spawn in cave peeps... good hunting ;)

why dont you go back to killing moss snakes? those claws are NOT uber, they suck and are probably THE most common 1hs in the game...100pp is about right, though 200 is more common price.
This joker can pop anywhere a normal kodiac pops. Sometimes there are two or three up if noone is killing them fast enough.
I've sat in these caves from lvl 29 to 35 and went back at 41 just to settle some unfinished business. Btw dinged to 42 in there last night and everything still blue.
If want him fast go into cave three with a group and completyl clear it out (about 20-25 spawn points). YOu have to go in and tank for it do it right. He will spawn, no doubt.

Full group of lvl ranges 28 to 34 took him down 4 times in about 2 1/2 hours last night and we had no problems. Get a group and go getcha some Claws.

I've fought Icetooth alot. When I was 38th Level(Monk) it was Yellow. I ding to 39th, he's now Blue. Is there a "range" of Yellow TO Blue? Not complaining. Kicked it's butt everytime, justed wondered?

Hello, I am a newbie compared to you guys (level 16 currently, but moving extremely fast on orc highway), ive had this game for a couple weeks now, and yesterday a trader offered this to me, but I did not have enough money. He said he would sell it to me at 250pp minimum, is that a fair price? Since yesterday (when i had NO plat) i have saved up 127pp, and now there is patching for the whole day! If I can get this guy to hold onto this for me, it will be a great improvement, and I hope to use it as my dual weild weapon along with something else (next level). Well thanks for the info.
